Default Native Unit voice mod for Attila.

    Our Goals

Our project's main goal is to translate the voice acting of the units from english to their native languages. The reason whe want to do this is because it adds a lot to the battle's immersion. This kind of mods have been released for other total war games (e.g. Europa Barbarorum) and they really made the battles feel more epic.

    Progress
Whe've just started so there is not much progress. Also, whe need volunteers, whe need skilled persons who can help us with the translations, voice acting, scripting and knowledge of editing ".wem" files. Any person with sufficient skills for those tasks is welcome.

Thanks for keeping up the good work. Its a very interesting project, hope you will manage something out of it, because its sheer ambition is mind numbing.

We will try to use old norse language if we manage to find someone who knows old norse.

So, I guess this is dead. A shame, it seemed very promising

ZombieZleeping, even the linguistic work is a hard nut to crack. Adding voice recording (that needs both skill and equipment), it's just unreal.

Plus, as I understand the tools for modifying the sounds haven't been supplied yet, and there's a chance they never will be. As I recall, the tools for sound modification were supplied for Rome II, but CA was reluctant to re-purchase the necessary licenses for Attila. Hopefully we'll see this feature added to the modding tools now that official support for Attila is dwindling, but again, we just don't know if that will be the case or not.
