    Icon5 Missing Description Information When Right Clicking Items

    Hey team,

    I recently got back into TWM2, and wanted to edit some units, Scotland specifically (I like Pikes).

    I have the Medieval Kingdoms DLC installed (12/6/2013) and verified the cache to ensure it was up to date prior to beginning editing.

    I unlocked Scotland, unpacked the files, then edited some stats on Pikemen in the EDU file, then added the mandatory statement in the medieval2.preference.cfg:
    [io]
    file_first=true

    Now when I play, when I right click on ANYTHING, it displays values, but not descriptions of any type. I don't remember this ever happening like to me before when I was simply changing unit stats.

    Any clue(s)?

    Thanks muchly,

    COL Harry

    Actually just checked a completely verified load, base game, England start - and the same error is there. When clicking on a unit to see its stats, I get no descriptions - just the values on the right hand side of the box. Then when trying to use say, a diplomat, I get another similar error - nothing appears on the left hand side as choices. It's completely blank.

    Might this have something to do with some sort of update / change that happened in 2014 with Steam?

    It could be related to the block graphic bug - else use my Bare Geomod (mentioned in the other thread) if you want to get into modding.

    Deleted all local content, full re-install, no other changes. Same error. Values without descriptions, and nothing displaying in dialogue boxes for agents like diplomats.

    Installed the block graphic bug tool - no change. Error still there.

    Since I've done a complete reinstall, fresh out of Steam, and it continues to have this error, I'm going to assume it's something to do with Windows 10 versus Windows 7, since it ran fine on Windows 7.

    You already have this problem with the unmodded, basic game?

    Can't vouch for Steam, but my disk install never had any problems in win10. Tried updating the graphic driver?

    The error does not occur on Rome Total War - I installed fresh and checked. Just Medieval 2. I will have to wait now till tomorrow to continue (I'm answering from my phone) as my wife just PUT HER SHOE THROUGH MY FLAT SCREEN TRYING TO KILL A BUG SHE SWEARS SHE SAW ON THE SCREEN. I'm beyond pissed right now. LOL
