    Default Different settings

    Hello. Hows it going?
Ok look. This question has probaly already been answered and all. And I'm to lazy to find the answer and all. Which settigns are the hardest settings. Cause I remeber once someone saying that vh/vh wasan't the hardest difficulty or something like that. Cause man i'm a veteran to rtw and this mod and man i'm getting my ass kicked on m/m. It always hurts me when I see my army routing and getting picked off like dogs. THE GAULS ARE THE ONES WHO SHOULD BE RUNNING FROM ME. THERE THE DOGS. sorry

Well alright then. Any answer to this question will be greatly appericated
    Thanks

Well I am too lazy to answer......... ;-)

Doesnt really matter the hardest setting does it since you are having issues on M/M which is the recommended Play level for SPQR, I suggest playing on Easy or learning better tactics from other vertran SPQR players with HIGH kill Ratios.

It took me a while to figure out what tactics work best for barbarian and non barbarian units, its more than just shield wall.

Just mess around with the battles and find out whats best for you. I only loose around 10-12% when I fight barbarians, I play on M/M.

LEAD, FOLLOW OR GET OUT OF THE WAY!!!

So Hard or Very Hard isn't really HARDER? Or is M/M the recommended Play level because on h/h etc. the enemy get's unrealistic hidden bonuses? ( for example + 3 Attack ).

It's the latter. H/H is a little much IMO, especially if you're fighting barbarians in the winter/woods... VH/VH is just impossible.

my 1st campaign was on vh/vh... and i never lost so many men in battle... ever. but it was satisfying to still win.

now im on m/m where the battles are a little more even.

I read the formations that came with the game and employ them as often as possible (not the darthmod formations... the readme formations) and they work great!

If u find it difficult with Gauls at the beginning of the campaign then beware later in the campaign the AI armies get 'golden chevrons' experience and u will struggle to beat them (mainly egyptians with ellies and parthians with h/a)

Remember that SPQR gets more difficult the longer u play a campaign... It will be almost impossible to finish the campaign objectives if u play VH/VH with garrison script

Hmm, then it might be better to play on M/M ( 4tpy and garrison script activated )

Im just searching the most realistic settings...

I personally play on H/H but I've been playing SPQR since the very first version I also like lenghty campaigns, stretching months

However the new version 6.3 is coming and battles will definitely be harder and longer since AI archers actually do damage to heavy troops (CA bug fixed by LT ) This means that I'll probably play H campaign and M battle difficulties...

Hope it helps with ur choice

Lets put it this way autocalc isnt an option anymore. lol The new changes and the way CA calculates Auto battles means in 6.3 Autocalc only works with the best and most experienced Legions.
