That is esentially my problem - the only place where Steam lets me install M2TW is the original Program Files Steam folder. It won't let me install in a different folder.
And I understand that if I install in that folder, it won't work (EB2)...

Right, but if you install it in the folder that doesn't work, the EBII mod folder is still there. You can then move the folder to where it does work
