Making pumpkin pie is a huge thing in the USA come late October into November for Thanksgiving, and Canada obviously also has pumpkin pie. Have people in certain places of Europe generally embraced eating cinnamon-and-nutmeg-spiced pumpkin pies after making Jack-o-lanterns out of pumpkins for Halloween? To be honest, eating pumpkin pie is like the one solace that exists once Halloween is officially over. I celebrated Halloween several times in the UK (Northern Ireland) when I lived there, but nobody made pumpkin pie specifically (saw a cheap grocery version in a Tesco store once).
