Italian Flags and Banners
I'm trying to get as many as flags as possible for upcoming 1448 campaign, few are faction wide, as such they will be a specific set of flag for a few numbers of units within a faction, while some others will be purely unit specific. There will be later more for Austria, France, Moldova, burgundian unit, and more.
For Genoese mercenaries we will have as follows:
-Genoa: Doria banners
-Romans: Doria and Giustiniani banners
-Rebels: del Carretto
-Milan: Doria and Spinola
-France: Grimaldi
-Austria: Doria
-Pope, Florence: Fieschi, Spinola(present in Athens)
So for example, when Romans will hire Genoese crossbowmen and marines, they will have banners from the families with who they had most affinities historically.
From left to right, top to bottom:
Giustiniani Longo, Grimaldi, del Carretto, Fieschi, Spinola, Doria.
Spinola has the old version like in Athens.
Giustiniani acronyms: "GI" stands for either Giovanni Iustiniani or Giustiniani. "C.SYI" = Civitas of Scio/Chio/Chios.
Sicily-Naples royal banners
Sicily-Naples Ferran II late era units
Sicily - Catalan and regnicole barons, note: Landolina is a very old sicilian lineage, from alsacian ancestry(they were kinsmen with Roger II, to say their seniority), after centuries of "stagnation", they found themselves choosing the right party at the right time, and saw their estates considerably increasing in reward. From the 1400's they became the second in wealth right behind the Ventimiglia, among local barons, for their share of royal monopoly granted on the sicilian wheat vs northern Europe textiles trade. Cabrera and Cruïlles are strong support of the Crown, while Chariamonte, Moncada, Peralta, de Luna, Alagona, were punished and stripped of most their fiefs(around 60% of the sicilian fiefs were re-distributed or re-assigned to the royal desmene after the 1390-1400 events). As such the families are different from 1345 campaign.
Sicily - Neapolitan feudatories: Marzano, Carracciolo, San Severino d'Aragona and Caldora
Papal States general and cavalry
Papal States - Savelli, Orsini, Colonna, Gaetani
Ferrara - d'Este, Contrari, Boiardi, Rangoni
Late era Ferrara - d'Este, da Correggio, Contrari
Florentine mercenaries
Black Bands Mercenaries - Giovanni de Medici (also known as Giovanni delle Bande Nere)
Venice and Venetian mercenaries - Bartolomeo Colleoni
Venice -late- and Venetian captains - from top to bottom: Orsini, d'Alviano, Bourbon del Monte
Late XVth century - early XVI century flags: Gonzaga, Trivulzio, Venice, Sicily-Naples - size comparison between the two sets.
Malatesta mercenary banners
Francesco Sforza banners
Braccheschi mercenary company(his Leopard flag was sported til the 1480's, long after Braccio death, by Piccinino between others, the bull is his war banner).

Further work is being done on non-Italian factions and a preview will follow for them too. They may be subject to change, if I manage to find better heraldic items or depending my own research.
