It's actually a custom map but it deserves it's own topic and should be considered an entirely different game. Half of the people who play Warcraft III actually play DOTA. I used to play it with my World Of Warcraft guild before the Burning Crusade came out. It's best played with people you know. Oh fun times. I re-installed Warcraft III today and did a few games.

It would be awesome if we could do a TWC DOTA game, though we probably won't get enough players. All you need to play is Warcraft III and the expansion. It's maximum of 10 players, with about 6 needed for an okay game although you can do it 2vs2 or 1vs1 too. So, any regular players? And what's your favorite hero?

I usually play the Nerubian Assassin whenever -AP is on. I like assassin heroes in general.

I haven't played WC3 in such a long time. But DotA was one of my favourites. If you get a bunch of people together, count me in this battle of good vs. evil!

DOTA completely sucks, I don't understand why it got so big. Tower defence and footmen frenzy are so much more fun.

Edit: Omg I want to kill basshunter, I hate him so much.

I thought so also when i first tried it. It seemed very difficult and everyone was mean. The people that play it on Battlenet are jerks. But then i started playing it with friends who didn't criticize. I learned how to play properly and love it now.

Actually I used to play it with many famous wc3 players (I knew one of them IRL so I actally had contact with many "pro-gamers") so they thaught me how to play it. I didn't like it back then nor now.

Land of Legends, Tides of Blood, Hand of the Sorrow Knight. Those are good AOS maps. DotA really does not deserve its fame.

Dota Allstars is great map...I used to play it with friends....well....long...long time ago...sigh...I miss it....

Very good point, that's how I learned and played it too, it should be on LAN.
