First Rome mod for M2TW released!

The Invasio Barbarorum team have released a mini campaign for kingdoms:

It starts in 429AD and the map focuses on the Western Mediterranean. The mod contains 5 factions - The Western Empire, The Visigoths, The Vandals, The Berbers and The Suebi.

I think its a major step for the community - I know its late Roman rather than Classical Roman but its still great to play as the Romans using the M2TW version (I played an earlier BETA a week or two ago). I think Ramon and the rest of the Invasio Barbarorum II team deserve a round of applause.

3 more campaigns are going to be released this year followed by a Grand Campaign - Essentially the main IB1 mod but for M2TW Kingdoms. I think Paeninsula Italica is a few months off releasing its M2TW engine so relatively soon we will be able to play as Rome in the 4th century BC and probably in a year or two EB II will be released.

The previews and gameplay do certainly look amazing. However, i'm sure it won't be the last, certainly not as you Mods are cooking up something new every day!

Also what a landmark to be set, espcially on here!

I've played this mod for the last few days now and it's really cool. It looks great and I like the way speeds have been slowed down during battles. Even small skirmishes feel epic.

I'm looking forward to the day that I can play as ERE.

In a word, no! The Romans in battle look pretty damn good to me.

I played the internal BETA a week before it was released, which is almost exactly the same as what is currently available for download.

I have got home and got a new graphics card for my desktop computer so I will be playing on it once I have got my current campaign on Rio's IBFD finished.

The number of downloads seems to be tapering off at about 2000 - which is pretty good considering its just after ETW's release.
