All I have to say is that Imperial Space ships travel through warp when doing long distance jumps, and warp is infested by chaos, and if chaos exists the Galactic Empire would fall immediately, because they don't know how to stop it and they don't have unquestionable faith in the emperor and the empire, like the Imperium of Man.
