    Default Creating a character that is avilable at the start of campaign

    Odd way of putting the question, I suppose, but bear with me here.
    I'm trying to create a general unit for Wessex that's available at the start of the game in one of the cities, like the king or princes. I was poking around the mod's files and came across this one here: Rome: Total War/bi/VI2/data/world/maps/campaign/barbarian_invasion/descr_strat.txt which lists the start-up forces and characters, like so:

    Now, I edited and changed Aethelstan to a different Saxon name (Sithric) and changed his age, but the game crashed when I started a new campaign (any faction). So I changed it back, and instead just changed Ethelbald's name to Sithric (changing the blood relation name at the bottom as well). That didn't crash the game, but when I started, the name was still Ethelbald.
    So, now I come to you guys, figuring that I should probably ask before I start pulling my hairs out over this. Do I need to edit another file as well?

    Btw, I have no idea why I really need a custom general unit, but I always end up doing this when I'm playing a game that's either moddable or customizable (or both! ). So, any help would be greatly appreciated.

    are you sure you wrote name correct? because it is Sihtric, no Sithric.

    Oh bugger me. I'll go try that one out.
    Edit: Aha! It works! Thanks a ton mate. Funny to think that a little typo like that was all that was causing it to mess up.
