Yeah I know there is special place for mods but as the mod is not TWC hosted and it is quite epic work... (Feel free to move this in case)
GCCM team managed to convert autoresolving naval battles into full land battles. No more crappy results! :popcorn::jawdrop:
Which is like one step less than naval battles. It just feels like big testament to anybody saying how limited current TWs are in modding part. Well they are but at the same time with enough work a monumental success is still possible. This is really new stuff, something not possible before not just reskin...I´m really curious what else will be possible in time...
You have some very interesting stuff, like DrunkFlamingo's mechanism to limit army composition. Each unit has a weight and a type (core, special, rage), and an army cannot have more than 5 points or rare units, or 10 points of special unit.
So you could have one dragon, one phoenix, a few dragon princes or swordmasters in an HE army, and you have to complete it with spearmen or archer.
Not possible to have 19 dragons in a single army.
There's also the mod to create custom lord.
You can really do quite a lot.

It doesn't seems like that. It just another faction with land battles and units based of sea units but on land. I.e. zombie pirates. Do not seem like a naval battle in the strategic map will trigger a land tactical battle but the same old autoresolve, except now you can have a customized ship so in theory the autoresolve would favor you better.
Never mind, already saw the blog and ideed is like that.
