It's clear and looks really nice! Especially Castille expanding along the coast, Piza south by the sea, Poland to the east, both Rus states elsewhere. I find it as it should be, in general.
Papal States are all-powerful in all SSHIP games, I think.
Have you seen many "civil wars" among the AI factions?
I think you don't see much issues with reputation and diplomacy?

Re: Screenshots / Empires' Maps Thread
I don't believe there has been much in the ways of civil war except for one or two occasions (that I can recall) in the HRE and Hungary, as I saw several monarchs with the 'Usurper' tag roaming about and i think I saw a couple of event notifications pop up.
I am not sure how diplomacy and reputations works in the mod but I guess the Romans reputation may be about right seeing as their was a fair bit of mistrust around this time towards the Empire from the west, so i guess my rating as 'despicable' could be right haha (i suppose that's what happens when you massacre your prisoners too much!). The AI seems really stubborn when it comes to signing even basic ceasefires, particularly when you are stomping them into the dirt, your all powerful and they are a tiny bit of mud on your boots. But I guess that's what happens if your reputation is really poor, nobody wants to deal with you much and will be stubborn at the diplomatic table.

hahaha... let's first know what we are talking about
i am aware there's a new AI in sship and have been for a loooong time, i cant be bothered to go dig through old posts right now
what i was doing is criticizing sship's AI, it doesnt hold alliances, stabs in the back, unwillingness to accept casefires even while being slaughtered etc etc, just like the vanilla, hence the vanilla flashbacks

Well, if you want to criticize SSHIP AI or any other aspect of SSHIP, I suggest you to do it clearly (to avoid misunderstanding) in the General Discussion thread. This is not the right place for such topic :cool2:

Not with SSHIP as far as I know.
End of the discussion. Further discussion on that topic posted in this thread will be deleted as off-topic. Last warning :bigboss:

Re: Screenshots / Empires' Maps Thread
I posted these in a preview thread recently, but I might as well share them here as well. NOTE: the Broken Lances seen here have shields, which is a small modification I did for my own aesthetic reasons. In Stainless Steel and SSHIP, however, Broken Lances do not have shields (and in my opinion look way less awesome than my version, hehe).
Here is my Imgur album collection of late period bodyguards, knights, and men at arms for various Western/Catholic factions. Although an Orthodox faction, in the future I could even include Byzantium/the Eastern Roman Empire since they have late-period plate armor for Alamanoi (who initially look like dismounted Latinikon in the early period). You guys currently have lots of screenshots of early units, but not many pictures showing how many of the same units look following the armor upgrades of the 14th and 15th centuries. There are also many units here that only appear in the 14th century, long after the 12th-century start date of the Early Campaign.
For anyone who wants their Broken Lances to wield shields and hence look more aesthetically pleasing, there is a save-game compatible edit you can make to the "export_descr_units" file in the SSHIP data folder. Open the file, go to the entry for "Broken Lances", and simply replace this line:

I'll upload the full Imgur albums soon, which will include both infantry and cavalry. Hopefully these images will provide good illustrations for Stainless Steel fans who are curious about trying this mod but don't yet quite understand just how mesmerizing and gorgeous the new units and mounts look on the battle map. And that they should start playing SSHIP right away.
EDIT: I added the full Imgur album links so that anyone can view more late-period units from each of these factions.

Andalusian infantry with the new Middle-Eastern captain model:
Well if you liked those, you'll most likely enjoy these! I just recently added unit models and textures from the M2TW mod Italian Wars to SSHIP, replacing the vanilla models and textures for Renaissance-period/pike-and-shot units. Hopefully I will be able to release a submod about this soon, but I have to gain permission to use Italian Wars' material first. Upon release, I think it might be the very first M2TW mod with Renaissance/pike-and-shot period units combined with a campaign map much larger in scope than just Italy or Germany (i.e. with the massive campaign map of SSHIP including Europe, West Asia, and North Africa).
Here's a taste of what you would be able to see in my submod for SSHIP (I'll put the rest in spoilers and direct you to my Imgur album link below): https://i.imgur.com/dqTtasQ.jpg
Landschneckt Pikemen resting before the fray, waiting for the word of their commander to mobilize:
What's that? The accursed Germans have new officers for Gothic Knights? Italians from Pisa to Venice are outraged. Famiglia Ducale must have them as well:
Late Arquebusiers (aka "Portuguese Arquebusiers in export_descr_unit") were wise to wear so much armor, given the armaments of the enemy ahead of them:
Black Band Arquebusiers love to taunt the enemy and they most certainly know how to woo a lady by tipping those broad-brimmed hats of theirs, with feathers in their caps:
Ooh my god! It is so cool! It is a super improve unita models for sship!i hope that you can release it for the mod and sship team can include it in future release...

Thanks! I'm glad you like them.
Yeah, I don't have any skills in editing unit texture files, unfortunately. If I did I would happily change this or that for greater accuracy (including the military standard for Castile, as you suggest here), considering how this is a historical improvement project mod. SSHIP team members are more than welcome to fix and fiddle with the new unit textures once I release the submod, which could be soon or a long time from now depending on if the so far unresponsive Italian Wars team responds to my request or not.

If you get their permission, I'll gladly correct these textures based on your advice ;)

@ Roma_Victrix
What kind of resolution do you use when you take those screenshots?
