Pretty much spanking everyone now with my immense wealth and power.
I do love the stability of SSHIP. Almost 900 turns and it runs practically flawlessly.
The usurper mechanics make the game fun too. I've been maintaining a stable 'Likoudas' line of emperors to avoid civil war. I did actually go through a crisis of usurpers that crippled my economy and army before the first Likoudas emperor restored order. It was fun as hell.
Re: Screenshots / Empires' Maps Thread
I'm awe that you've finished that campaign! Impressive. Thanks for reporting!
If you'd make a short (or longer) AAR how the situation evolved, what was the impact of the BlackDeath, how the Mongols and the Timurids behaved, what was your budget etc., this would be even better!
Re: Screenshots / Empires' Maps Thread
^^ JoC, there's no Timurids anymore (replaced by Georgia :D).
:laughter:

Consuetudo altera natura.
Besides, I've never played so long to meet the Timurids. It's why I'd love to have late era campaign.
Re: Screenshots / Empires' Maps Thread
Even for such campaign, we would need to review the faction to see how we could bring them back

My new Georgian campaign:
https://i.imgur.com/Kyv9ft7.jpg
1147 (turn 32) - moved quickly to take the east Caucasus. These two cities greatly helped my economy. Alliances with the Cumans, Romans and Crusaders secure multiple fronts.
1164 (turn 62) - went south and took Ani, as well as the important fortresses of Tabriz and Alamut which give me a strong border against the Zengids and Seljuqs.
1169 (turn 76) - decide to make a rather outlandish move and invade Sardinia. Plan to create a little empire in the western mediterranean as an insurance policy if/when things fall apart against the Mongols...

For your info: Cherson (modern Crimea) was a Roman (you call it Byzantine) region and after 1204 was given to Genoa.

This is something new to me. Given by whom? After 1204? I always thought that the Genoese went to Crimea in the second part of the century, and not exactly to to Chersonesos (I mean: Caffa, Soldaia and a few other places around)
Re: Screenshots / Empires' Maps Thread
No, Crimea became territory of the Empire of Trebizond after the Fourth Crusade and the collapse of the Empire.
Decades later, the Mongols sacked those cities and then Möngke Khan sold the remains to the Genoese, upon which the Italians rebuilt the cities and started their century long flourish.

Hello all,
it is about 1 year what i return to this great mod SSHIP, and here are my campaign - play as HRE, H/H

His dream about new and strongest Great Rome Empire will start.
Venecia is lost in history, Pisa and Denmark is my vassals.
Border with my allies - Hungary and France are fine.
So who will be next, who can defeat HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE.

I've posted lots of pictures in units here before, but for some reason I never thought to share the progress of my late period Venetian campaign from about a year ago. Better late than never! :surprise: Here's a summary of it in a few maps. Note that some of the eventually smaller factions like France are actually my client state vassals, so I control them indirectly, hence why you don't see me bulldozing and destroying them completely.

If it weren't for my faction dominating one half of the map, the Mongol Golden Horde would have surely been more than just the Soviet Union to my NATO. LOL.
Re: Screenshots / Empires' Maps Thread
Quite surprising to see the CS surviving that long :D
Re: Screenshots / Empires' Maps Thread
What a vast empire! :woot: @Lifth : What does CS mean? :hmm2:
