I haven't got SSHIP installed - maybe Jurand can provide you with an edited file?
@Gigantus : To help @Mocho41, I tried your technique by deleting the entire triggers section:
From there
To hereQuote:
;------------------------------------------
Trigger FoundRoyalHouse
WhenToTest BecomesFactionLeader
Condition Trait BiologicalSon = 1
and Trait HouseMember = 0
and Trait Factionleader > 0
and Trait Royal_Blood_English = 0
and Trait Royal_Blood_French = 0
and Trait Royal_Blood_HRE = 0
and Trait Royal_Blood_Spanish = 0
and Trait Royal_Blood_Sicilian = 0
and Trait Royal_Blood_Venetian = 0
and Trait Royal_Blood_Abbasid = 0
and Trait Royal_Blood_Pisan = 0
and Trait Royal_Blood_Scottish = 0
...
But it doesn't stop it from crashing. :no:Quote:

Have I understood the procedure correctly ? If I provide you with the export_descr_character_traits file, could you do better ?
I notice that it deletes 3/4 of the file. :hmm: I confess I don't understand these lines of code. :innocent:
When a faction gets defeated by way of killing leader and heir in the same battle then you will get this crash. The game as usual creates a BecomesFactionLeader event which misfires because the heir died while the event fires.
So far so good, and not really the problem as this alone is not the crash reason:
You have numerous triggers in the EDCT which then turn this into an unrecoverable crash. To get around it you need to delete these triggers and then progress past the faction elimination after which the original EDCT file can then be restored.
Looking for these triggers is tedious but since the trigger section is at the end of the file you can simply delete all of the triggers from the first trigger downward.
Please attach your edited and original EDCT files and I'll have a look if you proceeded correctly.
So I will upload the ful log file and the export_descr_character_traits file
https://filetransfer.io/data-package/Hiauuj0O#link
The log wasn't helpful - in fact it didn't seem to be a crash log, rather a normal exit.
Here is the edited file, remember to make a backup of your original file so you can restore it later. Keep the edited file somewhere else then (preferences directory of mod?), it might come handy again.
Thanks @Gigantus! Here are the 2 files attached (folder in .rar format)
Our messages crossed. However, I tried to launch the @Mocho41 campaign with your file but it directly crashes the game. The campaign does not load. :(
I can see where your issue comes from: there are comments using the word trigger.
You need to delete everything from this line: TRIGGERS start here
Weirdly enough even that phrase has two instances - the correct instance in this case is at line 16682.
Nvm - I used the file Mocho41 provided and linked to the edited version in the post above yours.
The game still crashes after I end the turn.I did copy that file to the data folder and replace the other one. (I also did make a copy just in case of the older file).
It's works with you Gigantus? Maybe it's miss something to me... :(
The situation you encountered appeared to have been caused by the BecomesFactionLeader bug, unfortunately it does not seem to be so, something else must be the cause.
so recapitulate once again, with the tex code 'toggle_fow' the error always appear to be on France turn here.

Your picture doesn't show because you used a direct link without picture file extension, nor a site prefix. Most image upload sites offer a variety of links - next time choose one that mentions BBCode which you can then copy directly here without needing to use [img] tags.
Have a look if any suggestions here solve the issue - it does not seem to be connected to mod files.
@Mocho41's crash is certainly not due to a windows problem since the game crashes on my PC too!
I made several tests with the "toggle_fow" command, in fast mode and in slow mode: the crash doesn't occur with the France faction but just before, with the Seldjoukids Turkish faction. It's exactly when the Mongols have just finished off the latter that the game crashes (you can hear the last member of the family grumbling just before the panel appears).
The cause of this bug is to be found in the destruction of the "Turks" faction.

@Gigantus sorry about the image, I use the lighshot app and doesn't seems it works on forum the direct link I guess.
Abou the issue I had, I tried everything from that sugestions and still not works. So I guess I will abandon the campaign and restart again unfortunately.
@Kostic I will restart since the triggers section not solve the issue also.
@kostic - the map-last-picture usually lingers while the script moves forward. I think it's already France's turn.
@Mocho41 - I'll upload a new version very soon, wait a moment... it's there!
Pity that it didn't work - it had all the hallmarks of 'BecomesFactionLeader' bug. Kostic's picture and remark seemed to confirm it.
Could the Seldjoukids Turkish faction be a horde faction? Rehording can cause issues, but normally it's simply a temporary freeze.
I have noticed, version March 27, that for the kingdom of Jerusalem it does not appear in the military orders chain building, if you destroy any military order building you cannot build it again, at least at the beginning of the game.Does it have to be unlocked with an event?
I dont know if its a bug or intended
I am playing as Norway for now , i have decided to send an army to raid and sack the coast of Rebel France - Ghent , Luven etc. , since they were rebels , that would be easy money.
I sieged the cities, sacked and destroyed the buildings and let it rebel.
However, they rebeled as France instead of rebels lol , immediately putting me at war with them, and giving them 3 settlements as i left them rebel.
Is this intended or am i missing smth herE?
It's a 'loyalty' revolt - based on an entry of the region in descr_regions - see here for more.
