Hi there. I have been a part of Turkish gaming and technology media outlet for years. In addition to this i have founded and maintained the Total War Turkiye community. I have waited Three Kingdoms with a passion so strong that it’ll probably dwarf anyone out there. With the help of Aral Games, SEGA and Creative Assembly, i accessed to the game early and created a metric ton of content thats worthwile of your time.
In addition to that, i also made this: a Cao Cao vs Liu Bei duel machinima! The clash of rivals, an incogitable fight between the Three Kingdom Era legends.
From scene construction to editing, it is a wholly authentic video. I have put a great deal of time and effort into this. (%90 of the footage is manually captured by debugging the in-game camera) Hope you will like and appreciate it.
Please don’t forget to comment and share it with anyone that has intrest in Total War series. From the point of popularizing Machinima sub culture, every view is appreciated. Thanks a lot!
Nicely done!

@juancfp Which Reshade version do u use? I would be interested in your settings (they look pretty similar to what I am trying to achieve). Thanks!
Update: I managed to get the depth buffer in Reshade to work by manually selecting the depth buffer. MXAO adds a subtle touch and gives all the graphics some more depth (will post images when I have more time).
Unfortunately, I don't have much time atm, but here is a shot which I stylized with the 'Kuwahara' filter (http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...art-filter-app)

In this episode Sun Jian fights Liu Biao in a massive forest engagement! Watch to see who comes out alive! I am still getting the hang of family dynamics and the tech tree overhaul which is very interesting. The battles in THREE KINGDOMS are truly epic in scale, I love the animations and pretty much everything about the game. Loads of fun! I am now setting my sights on conquering an entire province so I can begin to garner more strength against my growing enemies.
Hi I'm using my reshade of total warhammer 2.
I'll put it to you if you want to tell me how to copy the Reshade on twcenter.
thanks huberto and made:thumbsup2
You should be able to attach it to your post, you just need to add '.txt' to the file extension.
I attached my current Reshade profile. It's a more 'glorious' style. U did the gritty style already so well ;)
To get MXAO or any other depth based filter (e.g. blur) to work u have to select the proper depth buffer in Reshade first (see DX11 tab)

Tell me if it works the Reshade.
Great, it worked. I quite like preset. Will hopefully upload some sample images soon. I have also experimtend with new global illumination filter (PPFXSSDO) in Reshade which looks fantastic but is really only for screenshots because it causes a lot of flickering with TAA and therefore u need super high resolution instead to get rid of jaggies.
Here is a screenshot with a slightly tweaked version of your preset and with added MXAO+PPFXSSDO in 5K:

Beautiful shots! I like the 4th one with the flags in the foreground most I think.
Btw, the Deband filter in Reshade can be quite useful in getting rid of the banding/posterization in the sky (only visible in certain sky textures).
Here is another fighting scene with the awesome SSAO like shader which gives vegetation much more depth:
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Since I found that shader I don't have much time for progressing in TW3K, I am busy trying it out in the various TW games, lol.
Superb very well taken is beautiful photo
I do not find the deband?
I'm interested.
First let me say I apologize for the lack of commentary in this episode. I was conflicted on whether or not to post this episode but I decided for it because of the awesome battle that takes place. My webcam was recording my voice rather than the Blue Yeti. I already recorded the next episode and my voice is clear! But be sure to watch this one as we expand East! Sun Jian's dynasty is slowly coming to fruition!
Maybe you unchecked it when u installed Reshade.
But u can download any Reshade shader from the git repository: https://github.com/crosire/reshade-s...master/Shaders
Simply download the wanted fx file and copy it to the reshade shaders subfolder in your games .exe directory where the other .fx files reside.
In the git repository u can always find the latest official versions and sometimes new shaders. It's pretty neat.

You can see the orange glow of the burning skull in all the surrounding, the ground, units, trees, ... . Uses a lot of GPU power ofc. Also since it's not built into the engine, only elements which are visible in the current frame can be used to calculate effect. If you would move the camera away from the skull, then the glow would be gone.
Barbarian 1st is superb with the army in the background.

This video is my second basic battle Tutorial, guide, for Beginners In TW Three Kingdoms, and it will show you how to use Guerrilla deployment, Guard mode on units, the effective use of units in battle in records mode. It's a guide on how to win in battles by using proper tactics and formations and the effective use of units to break the enemy's units morale and force them to flee from the battlefield.
This is the episode where we start to expand into new territories. There is a great battle once again in the middle of this part. Sun Jian and his son fight side by side in battle.
I'm still getting the hang of trade and diplomacy. The family tree mechanics I am getting the hang of pretty easily. But I'll say this game has some serious U.I.
Here is multiplayer ranked battle, romance mode, enemy uses 3 Xu Chu Champion duelist generals I use two Xu Chu and a Sima Yi strategists and win this battle. This video shows actual gameplay as the battle is played. Formations creation at the start of the battle, guerrilla deployment, generals win this battle in a 2vs3 combat. Other units clean up.
In both of these episodes there is a lot of world building. Dong Zhou continues to try and make me his vassal through offering me peace treaties. Sun Jian forms a new army to cut through Han forces and expand in southern China while he pursues his enemies to the east. Sun Jian finally creates a trade port that open up trade routes with Cao Cao and many other warlords. The Han empire's influence in the southern and eastern regions of China continues to diminish While Sun Jian forms his empire in the heart of China.
Both episodes are pretty short but the first one has a battle in it in the forest between Sun Jian and the remaining Huang Zu forces. The second episode sees more expansion through delegate battles since my forces are so large.
Enjoy!

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
In this episode Sun Jian continues to expand east while he sends Yue Xiuting south to conquer and Han and Yellow Turban held regions. She is quite successful while Jian, not so much. In a fierce battle for the Poyang copper mine, Han forces assault Jian's much smaller force. Watch to see who ens up with the copper mine! Cao Cao and Sun Jian continue to build their empire around each others and hope for no aggression to come. Jian must cross into Cao Cao's territory though if he is to defeat Liu Yao.
Let me know what you think in the comments! Summer is finally here!
In this 90 minute episode, Sun Jian foolishly joins a coalition with Dong Zhuo cutting any war he currently has with the Han empire. Many warlords cut trade ties with Sun Jian severely cutting income for the growing empire that is becoming a burden with its upkeep. Kong Rong and Yuan Shao set their eyes on Jian's land due to his coalition with Dong Zhuo. The Han empire takes the Poyang copper mine just before the coalition is formed, will Jian be able to take it back. Sun Jian sails his massive army to Jianye to partake in the first ever SIEGE battle in the series. Watch to find out how this episode ends to see the state of Sun Jian's growing empire.
I very much consider this episode to be the calm before the storm as I have already recorded episode 10 and it is NUTS. This shorter episode sets up so much for episode 10, all out war with Kong Rong while Sun Jian slowly inches his way towards becoming emperor. Sun Jian continues to show his aggression going from ruthless to treacherous in diplomacy and war. Liu Shang is completely wiped off the map, while Jian's southern armies lay their eyes on Shi Jiejin who currently have a trade deal with Sun Jian. A steady peace between Cao Cao and Sun Jian continues as their empires continue to wrap around each other. Sun Jian's western armies begin to push west to engulf the last of the Han empire forces.
Again, check this out as episode 10 has many battles and developments! Thanks for watching!
In this video I show you a battle replay, submitted by another player to my channel, of which I do a battle review offering my thoughts about tactics, give tips on units and general's/hero/elites usage in a settlement siege, fishing village, battle with trebuchets on both sides and a three point attack. This is in Romance mode against the AI.

This is Sun Jian's episode. Things are slow and Diplomacy fails up until the 20 minutes mark. Sun Jian catches up with the main Tao Ying army near the Guangling Trade Port where a battle ensues and Sun Ce shows his bravery in a duel with Gao Lu. Sun Jian's army is badly damaged after this battle in the wetlands, however, he still has his eyes set on the capital of the region Guangling. Just when the city is about to fall to Sun Jian and his exhausted forces, a fresh army from none other than Kong Rong arrives to assist Tao Ying. Outnumbered by almost 1000, Sun Jian knows if he fails to gain victory against Kong Rong then his invasion further east is over. This time Sun Quan is the son who bravely duels against Zhong Yi.
Further south, Sun Jian's armies begin the siege of Jiaozhi, the capital of the Shi Jeijin homeland. Be sure to watch this epic episode as there are two major battles in it that put Sun Jian to the test!
In this episode, the siege of Shi Jiejin ensues with the people inside the city of Jiaozhi starving. They come out of their city to fight where Yu Xiuting is badly injured in a duel. After fierce fighting outside the city the people of Jiazho offer to let Jian's armies walk in the city gates as long as they give up some money. Sun Jian agrees, however, he continues besieging the city to hold the faction at bay.
Sun Jian's northern armies besiege the final Han forces held up in the city of Badong. When they finally do sally out to meet thei enemy, a fiere battle ensues that ultimately decides the fate of the Han empire in history.
Back down south, Shi Jiejin send reinforcements down to Jiozhi to relieve the siege off the starving city. Jian Shulan's army is already badly damaged, having lost half its forces in the previous, can she hold out to against the onslaught?
Lastly, Sun Jian himself, still busy in the east captures the city Guangling. However, Jian's presence in the region awakens a sleeping giant that his empire is outmatched in every way. Find out who the sleeping giant is in episode 12!
Here is a quick battle where I shift around the battlefield looking at all the carnage. I was on the fence about a cinematic but I wanted to give you guys the sound effects and all, so enjoy! :D
I'm planning to work on the Battle of Sishiu and Hulao Pass from Romance of the Three Kingdoms. (Also includes Lu Bu vs Three Sworn Brothers) And here is the trailer that I did for this event, Coalition Against Dong Zhuo;
Hey all I worked really hard on this and I know it isn't perfect but please watch it and let me know what you think about it! Cinematics are my favorite types of videos to make and this may be my favorite one yet that I've made. So please enjoy! :D
Continuing on the quest to destroy Shi Jiejin, the Duchy of Wu meets stack led by Huan Lin at the Yizhou teahouse. Meanwhile, in the north, Sun Jian meet the Duchy of Shu-han outside the city Langye which leads to a costly battle for Sun Jian. To the east, Sun Jian's armies meet forces under the Yello Turban Rebellion at the city of Ba. Bck in the south, Jian Shulan finally reaches the Yizhou tea house only to find a reinforced Shi Jiejin army. Shulan's rmy is already half depleted from the previous engagement. Watch to find out the result!
However, the biggest event to take place during this episode, is that the Kingdom of Wei, Cao Cao, declared war on me...
In this episode Sun Jian has his first true victory on the battlefield against Cao Cao outside the city of Yangzhou. Sun Jian is forced to abandon the province of Guangling. Kong Rong sees the opportunity and the besieges the city. When the assault begins, Kong Rong faces massive resistance from the garrisoned forces there.
Back in the Yangzhou province, Cao Cao returns with a bigger force and an even larger battle ensues between the Duchy of Wu and the Kingdom of Wei. The next episode is the first to be recorded with the blood and gore DLC!

I am back from vacation and back with more THREE KINGDOMS! A new Let's Play series will follow this week! But in this 14th episode, Sun Jian defends against Taishi Ci, a warlord to Cao Cao outside the city if Jiange. Jian's forces are badly damaged and he is forced to retreat. A turn later, Yu Chu attacks Jian's remaining forces. Does Sun Jian and his sons survive? Watch to find out! (Spoiler if you saw my cinematic). In the east, the Siege of Baxi against Liu Zhang begins, while the main Zhang forces begin to invade Sun Jian empire around Zhou Yu. Lastly, Sun Jian finally garners peace with Kong Rong and the Duchy of Song.
In part 15 of the THREE KINGDOMS Let's Play, Yuan Shu invades the Kingdom of Wu's western territories as they are almost undefended completely. The Duchy of Qi agrees to a non-aggression pact with the Duchy of Wu, however, after just one year, a massive alliance, the Alliance of the Darkening Moon, is formed and all previous parties declare war on Sun Jian again. In the far west, Sun Jian with a full army at his back begins to retake his territories from Liu Feng. Jian attacks Fengs garrisoned forces outside Wuling. Does he succeed in taking back the rice paddies and will he avenge the death of his sons? Almost to 900 subscribers! This let's play is going great! In this episode, Sun Jian begins to take back the lands that were taken from him by all who opposed him. He is still bowing down to factions such as the Kingdoms of Wei and the Duchy of Qi, but their doom will come. Jian Shulan begins by taking back the fishing village Nanhai which was under the control of the Yellow Turban Rebellion. In the North, Ma Teng continues to be a nuisance to Sun Ce who is trying to bolter forces for the eventual invasion into the lands of the Duchy of Shu-han. Sun Ce is able to take back the city which was lost to Ma Teng, Runan, and use it as a staging ground for the coming campaigns. The Kingdom of Wei declares peace with the Duchy of Wu only through Sun Jian giving up two of his most Eastern Territories. Sun Jian is using the Littlefinger approach in this episode. He is giving in and making awful peace agreements only to buy himself time to build up his forces and economy leading up to the eventual war with t he Kingdom of Wei. In this episode, the Duchy of Wu truly begins to get back fear that other factions once knew of it. Just on the cusp of beginning multiple campaigns to the north and west. The legendary leader Sun Jian dies of old age at the age of 67. Sun Ce will now take over command of the Duchy of Wu and Sun Zhou, Sun Ce's son, is given command of the late Sun Jian's army. With a new leader at the helm of the Duchy of Wu, the armies of Wu can begin their conquest of the rest of China.
In the North, Sun Ce mops of the remaining forces of Ma Teng outside the city of Runan which ultimately leads to Ma Teng requesting a peace agreement as their forces in the region are broken down to almost nothing, In the west, with the support of Jian Shulan's army which has never lost a battle, Sun Zhou begins his invasion of the west by attacking the town of Zangke held my the Duchy of Shu-han. The powerhouse in the region, however, is Yu Minxiang who has never fought against the Duchy of Wu. If Minxiang's territories can be taken then the Duchy of Wu will solidly hold Western China. Don't forget about the THREE KINGDOMS giveaway when I hit 1K subscribers! Just subscribe to be entered and not to miss any of the awesome content!
Hi guys! I am making a lore series covering the historical time period and characters for the Eight Princes DLC! If you are interested in this type of things, please check it out and enjoy!
In this episode, the Duchy of Wu has many gains and losses. Sun Ce reaches kingship as his empire grows large once again. Just as the Sun Ce's eastern armies begin to ravage and conquer Yu Minxiang, just to the north of where the campaign is taking place, the Duchy of Shu-Han launches an invasion into the center of Sun e's un defended territory there.
The invasion of Minxiang is slowed down as recourses must be diverted towards a new front. Outside the Yunnan Iron Mine, Yu Minxiang rallies their forces to attack Sun Zhi. Both sides are brutally damaged, however, in the end Sun Zhi is surrounded and forced to defend the iron mine from yet another Minxiang reinforcing army. Sun Ce himself must go and attempt to repel the Shu- Han invasion while his forces continue their invasion elsewhere. Be sure to check out this amazing episode!
Multiplayer lobby battle, records realistic mode, against a player using trebuchets(artillery unit) and spear with crossbow unit combo. This video shows actual gameplay as the battle is played as well as extra recorded moments using the replay system. I use guerrilla tactics to deploy behind the enemy generals army and make a surprise attack while Trebuchets try to turn around in time to meet my charging cavalry.
In this fantastic episode, Sen Ce's empire has a run of some good and bad fortune as he is successful in certain areas around his kingdom but not in others. In the west, armies under Jian Shulan continue to slowly capture cities and towns under Yu Minxiang. In the east, an army under Deng Zhi mobilizes quickly to assist Sun Ce who intends to retake the lands taken in the previous season by the Duchy of Shu-Han. However, rather than wait for support, due to the fear the Duchy of Shu-Han may continue to attack other home cities. Sun Ce begins a counter-assault but is met with a number of full armies under the Duchy of Shu-Han.
He is constantly in battle and his troops are feeling the toll. Ultimately, a fait is decided for Sun Ce in this episode, and by the end, a stalemate is taking place between the Duchy of Wu and Shu-Han. Sun Ce can only hope that the armies in the west can quickly capture the territories under Yu Minxiang and then swing around to aid Sun Ce and stop the Shu-Han invasion.
If you ever wondered if the Hammer and Anvil tactic is really that effective, watch this battle and never doubt it again. Both players gave it their best and many infantry soldiers got trampled under hoofs.
I use guerrilla tactics to deploy behind the enemy generals army while he was preparing a bit of an obvious ambush with his cavalry. The battle tactic of the day was the Hammer and Anvil attack employed numerous times by both me and the enemy general made possible by the high melee charge bonus of cavalry units.
I must say I'm having a great time with the Eight Princes DLC so far! I'm also trying it out on Romance rather than Records mode. Anyway, in this first episode Sima Yue focuses on defeating Sima Zhi to the west and securing the region of Pengcheng. After several medium size engagements, the Empress demands that Sima Yue declares war on Sima Rui. Daring not to defy the Empress, Yue declares war on the neutral faction to the north. Sima Yue is also able to secure much needed trade agreements with surrounding warlords to help bolster his economy for the coming invasion. Sima Yue's, wife, Princess Pei also commands a force within Yue's army. They will fight and if so, die, side-by-side!
While in some previous games you could be sure a spear unit could never lose to a frontal cavalry charge, and you wouldn't even try something like that. Now it is possible for cavalry to win in a frontal charge vs spears. You only need to know how and when to charge them! Learn more about it here, in my Basic Battle Tutorial #3, Cavalry charges and Brace stance.
This video will show you how to instantly win land battle in TW Three Kingdoms in singleplayer against very hard AI and multiplayer vs other players. You will learn how to rout entire enemy armies faster then you can say: "Shameful display!" The tactic that you will see here is all about making coordinated cavalry charges into the backs of enemy front line units. But not by going out to flanks but by storming the front lines through holes made by strategically placing and using your own front line infantry units. To pull off this tactic you will need to know everything my three Basic Battle tutorials have to teach you.
This battle was against the AI on the very hard difficulty settings/level. But the tactic can work in multiplayer as well. If you want to see more tricks and tips how to win battles vs the AI on very hard you find it in on this playlist.
In this very long Three Kingdoms episode, Sun Ce faces many defeats and loses many territories to the Duchy of Shu-Han and other factions. 20 episodes in and the mighty southern empire of Sun Jian begins to crumble. This may mark the end of the campaign for Three Kingdoms. Be sure to leave feedback and comments on impressions of video!
