Unfortunately getting a lot of diplomacy crashes when using the Protectorate and Ottoman bug fix. Only happens with one nation though which is quite odd.

If you pump for your 2nd strategy then you don't need to worry about crusades, the Pope won't call one on an Orthodox faction.

I'd recommend for you to uninstall Darthmod, verify the integrity of your game cache via Steam and then install another Mod.

Causa Belli is a lot of fun in the sub mods section, playing as the minor factions is a challenge!
