So basically all that's confirmed is that the game isn't total  for 50 turns.

Considering that stirrups appeared almost immediately after the end of the Three Kingdoms and they already had mounting stirrups, is it really that far fetched for Three Kingdoms cavalry to have...
It makes sense. Why use a chariot drawn by four or six horses when you can have six guys riding those horses and shooting arrows at people. Seems like a waste of horses to me.
Very disappointing you can't move your unit cards around in battle. How am I supposed to line up my units in the proper position then?
I don't know what people were expecting. Romance mode without heroes is basically just the usual TW game. Wasn't that what everybody wanted? Ehhh...
What's interesting is that this is the closest we've gotten to the old TW games since Medieval 2. No matched combat, slow as , and no general abilities at all, not even morale buffs or brace.
Pre-ordered.
Stream was much better than I thought it would be. Definitely not dumbed down like ToB or a burning dumpster fire like Rome 2. At worst I think it'll be an average TW game.
If campaign mechanics work properly and the AI knows how to use them I think this will be my favorite TW game.
They didn't add Vietnam either which at this time was under China's control. I think it may have to do with politics more than gameplay at this point.
Unless reviews fall below 80% score, I will most likely buy day one.
You can also see a symbol representing the emperor above Dong Zhuo.
Honestly I think the bigger info bomb is that characters have traits now that affect who they like and dislike. You can see in PartyElite's video that Liu Biao has three traits, and each come with a...
Can't wait to make Guan Yu Emperor of China.
To be fair most of the non-Han factions at this point were fairly irrelevant, weak and divided. None of the nomads, Koreans, or southern barbarians ever posed a real threat to a Chinese faction in...

I'm disappointed by the gameplay reveal, not because of the animations or most of the nonsense people are complaining about, but the fact that the battle was nothing like how it historically or...
Disappointed that there's no flooding in the actual battle map.
Same reason why Rise of the Samurai wasn't Shogun 2 vanilla. Because it's not as popular and is a more obscure period.
Am I the only one who wants a return to the Shogun 2 system where every faction has nearly identical units? It makes the possibility of an Avatar Conquest feature. Unit diversity has also caused a...
I was thinking exactly the same thing when I saw the Brittania info. All the features look like something that could be ported over to 3K, almost as if the Saga game is a trial run or something.
Tibet was pretty much irrelevant all the way up until the 7th century during the Tibetan Empire. Sort of like Mongols. Of course there are a bunch of "proto-" groups you can link them to but we...
The Shogun 2 trailer shows a duel prior to a siege battle. As far as I know there is no actual mechanic to simulate that duel in the game.
The Carthage trailer was one of the primary marketing...
Anybody else remember how Shougn 2's trailer wonderfully depicted the dueling mechanic in the game?
Or how Rome 2's Carthage trailer beautifully depicted actual in game siege combat?
I prefer S2's combat animations to Rome 2 and Attila. They look like they're stabbing into nothing and the combat feels like it has no impact. Personal preference but that's how I feel.
If what reddit says is correct, it'll be essentially the literary version without magic. So about as historical as Shogun 2 or Rome 2, which might not be everybody's cup of tea. Not the most...
Hopefully they're going back to how units interact in Shogun 2.
Pike and shot is a non-subject.
Pike and shot is just mixed units in formation. Since TW never did formations that well and doesn't have mixed units, there's no reason to suspect it would be any...
Koei has been making Three Kingdoms games since before consoles were even legal in China.
There aren't any other major settings outside of Europe. Sure maybe just the decision not to have another European TW was a marketing decision in itself, but it's not like there are a lot of other...
It's not like China's market was the only deciding factor in making Three Kingdoms. There's only so many settings and periods you can go to without seeming like you're just rehashing the same thing...
It would be nice if they actually had a way to play out the entire Three Kingdoms history, and not just until whichever date the main characters like Liu Bei and Cao Cao die.
The game starts in 190 though, so really there's going to be several factions beyond just the main three, which don't really come into their own for decades. Most likely there'll be one shared tech...
It all depends on the setting. If you like the setting enough you'll just overlook things like ninja or gladiator women on the battlefield. When you don't like the setting every single thing becomes...
We already know from the trailer that the game follows the novel events, so for some people it's already pretty much "fantasy" no matter how "realistic" the game is.
Why are people so upset? Shogun 2 had ninjas and geisha. Rome 2 has flaming pigs and incendiary gates. It's not like Total War has ever been anywhere historical. I'm super psyched for this.
A China Total War finally happened?
Pure insanity.
There won't be a Medieval 3 for quite some time.
I think some of you will be disappointed with where TW goes next.
All I want is a polished game. It doesn't matter what era or setting.
You are correct.
Rome 2 has more unit variety, but that doesn't translate to it being a more diverse game in terms of gameplay and more importantly, role playing.
Every nomad faction, Greek...
So, why don't people like the phalanx in this game?
I personally know nothing of Greek warfare so I had nothing to compare the one in this game to.
I am so clueless.
