    Mongol campaign behavior

Hi all! How have the Mongols been working on other player's recent SSHIP campaigns? I know that in prevoius versions the Mongols would wander around Khwarezm and the steppe for some 40-50 turns...

Re: Roman models in this amazing mod!

Are those models simply not compatible? I haven't downloaded the model files to take a look yet but was simply curious as I don't possess Attila quite yet and thought they looked amazing!

Roman models in this amazing mod!

Perhaps a foolish question, but are the unit models in this mod (for Attila) compatible with a Medieval 2 based mod like stainless steel? Could those models work with SS? Thanks for your help and...

    Re: SSHIP - General Discussion

I'm up past turn 250 in my Roman campaign and am still loving the mod, the Mongols have conquered Persia but are still hesitant with the Cumans, I have found that its easier to vassalize enemies in...

    Re: SSHIP - General Discussion

Have the Mongols been doing any damage (ie: conquering Persia and the Cumans) in anyones' campaigns?
  9. Re: Bellum Crucis 6.3 is OUT + TORRENT ADDED + ENGLISH AND SPANISH TRANSLATION. A VIDEO PREVIEW OF THE NEXT VERSION!!!

So I have downloaded the BC 6.3 torrent version and installed it with the bugfixer etc but I am having a really odd graphics problem, some of the (non-barded) horses have VERY odd reigns, they are...

    Re: Byzantine info-dump

Awesome name list I will have to figure out how to mod them into my SSHIP! There are alot of "late roman" names in there that are just not accurate at all for the Komnenian and Palaiologian periods
  11. Noob question about textures - please help!

For many units in M2TW mods (on the battle map) I have noticed that the models have multiple texture variations (for example Broken Crescents' Varangians have 2 slightly different textures). How can...

    Re: SSHIP - General Discussion

Does anyone know what sort of armor Caudillo's Varangian Guards (used in this mod) are wearing? It almost looks like scale mail (and cool scale at that). Are they all wearing mail underneath?

Also, are the Varangians in this roster wearing lamellar or scale mail? How heavy is the armor they are wearing?

    Re: 3 Roman scenarios

I was working on an awesome alternate history TL myself where Bela III rules as Manuel's heir from 1180-1206. Even after the disastrous battle of Myriokephalon in 1176, does anyone think...

Re: Master Zuma's Stone Forts for SS6.4

Does anyone know if Zuma's Stone Fort mod is compatible with MSC? Meneth's 2tpy/OST mod is still one of my favs but I'd love to be able to build permanent stone castles on the map!

Any clues as to what some of the unit stat changes will be for this amazing mod? I'm hoping to see stronger Varangians and more balanced cavalry. Happy holidays to all involved with the great SSMAP!

Thanks Lifthrasir! For now I will just nerf the Mamaluk charge bonuses down to the 12-15 level and give the Varangians an attack of 10, to match that of the other elite 2H Axes.

Sticky: Re: The Stainless Steel Historical Improvement Project (formerly SSMAP) - Beta 8 soon...

This is a very good mod, perhaps the best for SS 6.4 right now! Some of the unit stats seem rather odd though, for the Romans the Varangian Guard are now weaker than the Egyptian two handed axemen...
  22. Re: Bellum Crucis 6.3 is OUT + TORRENT ADDED + ENGLISH AND SPANISH TRANSLATION. A VIDEO PREVIEW OF THE NEXT VERSION!!!

This is easily my favourite mod for M2TW. Stainless Steel and Broken Crescent are great but in terms of long-term re playability, I always come back to Bellum Crucis for a campaign that could almost...
