    Hi, looks like a great Mod. Unfortunately, I have a downloaded version of the game from Steam-powered. Unfortunately, they do something with the configuration, and such that I can't use the installer nor can I manually install presumably without some kind of custom instruction. Simply copying data file to data file and preferences to preferences and with nowhere to specifically put the custom file other than in the main folder... that just doesn't work.... When I do the previous manual install, I'm able to reach the select faction screen and upon clicking start game, I'm sent back two steps to the select game screen.

    Any help available for this?

    Hi Repman!
    I been playing since DLV version 2 came out and I am impressed with the changes that you add in the game. The bugs that I encountered doesn't bother me that much because the positive experience that I get by playing your mod simply outweighs the rest haha. Keep up the fantastic work.

    In Bugfixer_01 the cavalry still overpowered i hope in Bugfixer_02 those bug are really fixed,:Lancers vs Italian militia full plated.110-8, in less of 3 seconds.

    Is this on save game? Because I've just started a new campaign as KOJ headed straight for a Desert Tribes army & had no problems with fighting them.
    If it is a saved game try deleting the expanded.txt.strings BIN file (it will regenerate). Location DLV_ext\data\text.

    Just curious, I'm on a really good KoJ campaign and was wondering if anyone has continued their campaign from bugfixer 1 to bugfixer 2 and if the traits mess up. I installed bugfixer 1 on 4.0 and my traits got really messed up, my generals for instance had vendettas against half of Europe and was married to just as many. So if anyone has continued from bf 1 to 2 without starting a new campaign could you let me know before I install it, thanks.

    For some reason, I could not load any of my save games after installing bugfixer 2 and pinko's updated mod for bugfixer 2. I am not sure which one caused the problem, or it could have been something on my end.

    Playing Portugal,

    Don't know what it is, but those bugfixes completely mess up my generals traits.
    They get banners and heraldry from all over the place, All generals have an exotic slave.

    Allready reinstalled the mod+fixes three times. Is there someone else having this problem playing portugal or other?

    Hey Rothgar, I have the same setup as you and my game loaded, though it loads a bit slower the first time after updating as always.

    Here is a small report after playing 80 turn with Armenia (vh/vh).

    First of all, i want to say that the new fractions are well done!

    Back to my report:
    All fractions excepting Poland are alive and holding there homelands. (Denmark is pushed back to Scandinavia.) HRE, France and Hungary are Great Powers.

    The Islamic fractions are a bit weak. (Moors and Egyptian are not able to conquer rebel provinces.) The Egyptian got 3 regions and the Moors just some regions on the coasts.

    The Desert Tribes have lost the region at Africa by rebellion, but there are strong at the Middle East. (Maybe improve there happiness or something else at Desert Tribes provinces, so that they are able to stay at Africa and Middle East altogether.)

    The Russians are also very weak. Lithuania got 1 region, Kievan got 2 regions and the other about 5 regions. Lot's of rebel provinces around them, but there are not able to conquer them.
    The fact about the Russians i also noticed at former campaigns at 3.1 and 3.2, so it's not a experience of just one campaign.

    Yeah, could be a great mod !!! if it was not for the fact that it is riddled with bugs ... and this is born out .. "not just with my playing experience" but by many others.As the post on the forum.suggest. I have up loaded and posted many times on this forum regarding this mod......i have yet to speak any one that has actually finished a long campaign?
    i see that their are many bugs and many post .... but no replies to some of these post??
    Like... i posted yesterday, in my opinion this mod is trying to do to much in terms of, traits and new cultures? and so D.V.L. it is to much for the vinilla engine.,I have all ways been an admirer of those who give their time for free, in order that those of us mortals will benefit from their endevour. And so i thank you and am greatfull.
    I my opinion, i think this mod has not got the balance of game play..or the fun element. I cannot with confidence start a new campaign,because i am absolutely certain that it will not be finished.
    Still needs lots of time and work and patience.
    I hope that some time in the foreseeable future it will be more enjoyable and more stable game to play as i would love to play and finish a campaign.

    I think with bugfixer_02 the major flaws are gone and only minor (cosmetique) stuff is still there:
    - for most people DLV works without problems, others don't get it to work
    - DLV is totally islolated, other big mods as COE, SS, Portvcale are not ...so you get maybe interferences if parallel installation
    - vista and DLV seems to be problematic
    - if you put submods as pinko's, xeno.... over plain DLV it's not my problem
    - i read all bug reports and try to collect...i repair the ones i like to repair
    - i do not answer any help calls by myself... because it's time consuming, the calls are repetitive and the origins could be anything

    Personally I would thank repman and DLV-team for the fast updates and bugfixes, I wouldn´t play Medieval II without your efforts!

    Looking forward to a new Teutons campaign where I will try to save the HRE from its decline and establish the Ordensstaat in the Holy Lands and the Baltic region.

    @Scivian,

    Ah lucky you! it must have been something on my end then. I will just re-start my campaign, it wasn't that good anyway. Thanks for letting me know.

    Also, are you planning on updating your realism mod any time soon or do you think it is pretty much done? I am enjoying the enhanced movement speeds for sure, but I think your building file overwrites the one that pinko's mod uses.
