GORGEOUS !!!!, downloading and trying it right away ! always love these graphical improvement to the game ! thanks MAGUS !!
This looks great! Good job .
I hope you get the snow working, but I'm OK if it takes a while. I'm not encountering too much snow in my Jerusalem campaign where I'm taking over the desert .
Ah....you must be god as you keep answering my prayers....
It is simply amazing.
It looks perfect. If I could rep you again I would.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
My internet is too slow to download this right now, but as soon as I can, I will! It looks awesome, and most of all, easy to install/uninstall (although by the looks of it I'd ever only uninstall in case of problems).
+rePp
(Soldiers riding horses appear to get a little dirtier than soldiers on the ground)
Why that don't have any sense? Horse are dirtier but soldiers on the horse are cleaner than foot soldiers...
Magus: though it is no big deal, the units still get the dirt effect without even doing anything. I actually just paused my game 1 sek after starting the battle and when I went back it looked like they alle had been rolling around in mud

well, the information about overlay textures is in a file called descr_geography_new, but it is extremley hard to edit and it is encrypted to make it hard to understand, it can be opened in a text editor but it looks extremley jarbled. I am going to try and edit it a little bit and see if I can accomplish anything, I'll let you guys know... maybe I will be able to add snow. hmmmmm
Well..I wanna commend you for the great work you've done..the high-res blood and dirt textures look awesome!
I just have one comment..I dont' know if it can be made but, could the blood build up more gradually? You know..at first just a few spots, and then more and more!
In my tests so far..during the fight, blood shows up on a soldier in most cases just before he dies or when he's very injured! That especially occurs on cavalry! :hmmm:
And the effect of that is, that at the end of the fight, only few soldiers have blood on themselves(cavalry even fewer)..but should have a bit more IMHO.
What do you think Magus?

yes I found that the game will apply the level one dirt decal to infantry without them doing anything, and its just random, it also applies the second level decal to soldiers on cavalry that are just standing there. I have just recently started to modify the descr_geography_new.txt which controls the rate at which soldiers get the decals applied, and what type of terrain they are walking across when they receive the decal also. I think if I mess around with this file a little, I should be able to add snow, and possibly sand, and ALSO fix the rate at which soldiers get dirty for good. I can also increase the maximum amount of damage a soldier can take before reaching the max decal level, thus increasing the amount of blood spurts and sqiurts on soldiers throughout the battle.
The next vesion of this mod will more than likley include these Changes, I'll keep you guys posted on any discoveries/breakthroughs I come up with while working on this.
Yeah it is really "teh best".
It is amazing how good it look. And especially with some of the new skins vanilla mtw2 looks like mtw1 compared.

Magus you have done a great job. There is always some things which you can't make corections, because it's limited or coded. Damn restrictions.
