    EDIT It wasn't working but I the problem is really easy, you typed the new "overlaytextures" file as "overlayrextures", its really easy to fix though

    Hi Magus thanks for the quick update. You might want to fix the typo folder name for "overlayrextures". I can't get any dirt, sand or snow to show.

    I didn't notice the typo as I was to eager to copy/paste.

    I just tried a battle with this and all my units turned black. This is probably caused by the problem Hounf said, and I'll fix that and try a custom battle to see if it is fixed. If not, I'll post pics of the issue soon.

    Edit: Yup, renaming and merging the folder made it work normally. The dust looks great, but the soldiers were either really dusty or not at all after running to attack the enemy. Maybe you could make it so in the desert, every soldier gets slightly dusty easily, but it takes a long battle to get covered in dust.

    haha oops, I just fixed the typo, I'll re-upload so people don't get confused, thanks guys, oh and the black textures on soldiers thing? hmmmm not sure, maybe you don't have shader 2 selected in video options? not sure.

    not sure, I think I might still make some tweaks and things to these textures to make them betterm and them I might possibly work on some other textures... like units, or I was thinking about editing the skins for castles and stuff. I have a feeling I could make some pretty wicked stuff

    Looking 4ward to whatever you have planned, you have an amazing gift!

    I dont know if you know how to make portraits or not and not sure if yellowdog or Y2day are working on them or not but having new in game portraits would be pretty cool.

    Oh another idea, what about remodeling weapons maybe? It's prob a lot of work and would prob. go unnoticed but just an idea.

    Magus, I downloaded the updated file, but still can't get the dirt/sand/snow (I see blood only) to show in custom battles with the climate setting. Dirt was working fine with 2.0. I see I have it installed under ...mods\Stainless_Steel_6\data\overlaytextures with the new files.. Did everyone else get it to work?

    I cant pick weather or anything like that in custom battle as well. Havent tried in a game yet.

    you have to make sure to put the other files into just /data its set up so you should be able to just drop everything into your data folder, the descr_geography_new.db and the descr_effect_impacts,text both need to be in /data, not /data/overlay textures. let me know if you get this worked out.. and also not being able to pick weather in custom battles... I'm not sure, I will try to figure it out though, let me know if you cannot get it working..

    and also, if you're playing on a level with snow, the snow/dirt will only start to show up if you take your soldiers on a jog.

    I just copied and pasted everything into the data file and from their they overrid whatever files and folders they needed to replace
