    Default One Settlement Type (OST) 1.1

    Features


    • Only one type of settlement (town)
    • You can build any building in any settlement
    • You can recruit any unit in any settlement (non-building restrictions still apply)
    • Since any settlement can specialize in any way, there's a much higher degree of freedom

    Installation


    1. Run the .exe
    2. Point to data\campaign\sub
    3. Install
    4. Run the sub-mod manager

    Planned changes

    • Working military education (broken by the removal of castles)
    • Inclusion of the unit merges planned for MSC
    • All units in the correct buildings (see "Feedback needed")

    Feedback needed


    • Any melee infantry in other building trees than barracks
    • Any cavalry in other building trees than stables
    • Any ranged infantry in other building trees than ranges

    • Release

    1.1


    • Barracks not giving a law bonus fixed
    • The files getting into the wrong places fixed
    • Not being able to choose where to install fixed

    Where did you install it? It's supposed to be installed into data\campaign\sub

    Installation dont give me a choice where to, because than I push install it installs without option where to..

    That's not an excuse Meneth, since the whole idea was invented by Roz months ago.

    He is credited.
    He doesn't seem to mind me making this, since he helped me by telling me how to hide the castle line (which I've managed to forget to implement, so it'll be in the next version instead)

    actually I didn't realise what the mod was about when i replied to the enquiry - the PM message flashed up as soon as I logged on here.

    as for minding - what you do is up too you - but I may be rather busy regarding any more helpful hints.

    I would have thought something a little more original might be a better use of your time and talents.

    We're likely going to use a system like this for 1:13, the mod I'm working on, so I'd certainly say it's not a waste of my time. It'll be much easier to implement into 1:13 due to the things I've learned while working on OST.
    Before starting OST I didn't have enough modding to do to fill my free time, but now I hopefully will for a while.

    Idea and implementation and totally different things. As for credits i see its there and both are skilled modders and understand each other and that is all that matters.

    I know they're different, I'm just saying that most of the people here associate the all-town thing with Rozanov, that's why I was surprised to see a similar mod being developed by Meneth.
    Honestly, I have nothing against his work (he usually does well), but I think that small 'partially inspired by the RozMod' line in the first post is a bit inadequate as credits in this case - but since Roz doesn't mind it, I'll end my complaints here and won't discuss this matter further.
