It overwrites 6.3.
If you have the space, you can reinstall 6.3 and then install 6.4 over the new one and you can have both.
great work, just a quick question do i install this in the location of SS 6.3 (i.e. medieval 2 total war folder) or do i point the installer to install it in the ss 6.3 folder? Thanks
SS6.3 folder.
Aaaah! Its giving me choices on AI etc after install. Grocul seems a bit savage. Can these be changed later down the line if you've chosen the wrong one?
getting CTD when i try to load a new campaign
the system log said something about not being able to find rebels??
*sobs uncontrollably*
Yes you can...The faq is your friend
Q: I don't like borderless window mode, what now?
A: Inside your SS folder, there is a file default.cfg. Open it with notepad, and change "autoBorderlessMode=true" to "autoBorderlessMode=false". You can also modify other launcher features there, like the ability to swap battle AI's, auto redirect system.log.txt to SS folder, and menu music swapping.
I love many of the new changes especially the ability to recruit generals from castles, the list of things I like about what has been changed would be long and extensive; so I will just list my one complaint about the new 6.4
The one thing I don't like is that the Chapter houses have been dropped from the guilds system, if your playing with Scotland (the roster is already banal and equates an ahistorical movie as its base for color schemes) it makes for one mundane campaign without some differences in the units.

Chapter houses are there, just only in certain regions.

Any word on the devastation/aging script bug for 1TPY? Thanks.
Devastation removed - it was marginal anyway. Ageing 1tpy - the whole 6.3 was balanced under that.
Cheers, I like that thanks list!
One question about recruiting generals in higher level castles, do they join the family tree or stay out of it?
They stay out of it, steam launcher was unfortunately not ready for this yet, but since i won't have time this week to work on ss, i released everything now. next week ill provide you with a definite steam solution
