I have a question do priests need to stay outside/next to a settlement for religion conversion to work or I can just have them in the settlement?

I've never seen any difference either way. I keep them outside in case a plague hits the settlement so they don't get infected.

The only advantage to keep them in the settlement is that they don't become heretic.

Are you sure about this? I'm pretty sure I've seen them turn even when in settlement. They leave it during the AI turn.

    Default No free upkeep?

Hello there, first of all nice submod =)
Now the problem: I've started with Novgorod and have my militia in the citys but don't get the free upkeep. No color changing or tooltip. Is this normal?

    Thx for your help!

Free upkeep has been removed. Please read the previous posts around before posting again and again the same questions.

Sorry, I haven't found posts about this. Can I ask why it was removed? When you link me a thread, I will read it.

It follows the logic that soldiers cost money anywhere at anytime, and because AI dosent garrison his cities well thus giving an advantage to player.

SSHIP is all about historical accuracy. It isn't at all accurate for soldiers to magically not require paying or feeding when they are in a city.

In the game, they actually are somehow unless you disband them and recruit them again. So in that case, I think we can consider that they have a cost

that's because of the limiting recruitment system, but in theory they are never on duty unless the situation requires it (a siege), isnt it also unrealistic that soldiers that march and fight in campaigns get paid as much as the ones siting on their a$$ all day in a city ?

Is it possible to inherit in sship other kingdoms/factions ? I guess that in other mods as bellumcrucis you could marry a princess from another kingdom with your prince or king, if the other kingdom donīt have heirs and no more generals could inherit his kingdom because of marriage
