I just hope that they can fix their damn engine to fix the melee action because clashing masses of orcs against masses of chaos into a giant puddle is very immersion breaking.

I hope CA wasn't planning a big surprise party or a press conference for the announcement...

Chances are they were. Do I have to watch my back for a CA hit squad you think? Really, it could be a ploy to hype the next game without being seen as over-hyping it themselves - place a little info in an artbook here... forum member notices it there... and BAM! Its surprised me how fast and how many views this thread is getting actually. Over 1000 guests at the time of writing, and its been picked up by game news sites like kotaku and gamespot. wow

However notice that the "announcement" comes after TW:Arena and TW:Mobile game. So this could possibly be a smaller game without the grandeur of a "real" TW title. That would obviously be a massive disappointment as Warhammer fans and the less fanatic TW fans are getting hyped for the full experience.

After reading it in context with the rest of the interview (I only posted the relevant part for proof) I disagree. It wasnt added after Arena and the mobile game for any other reasons than that, like those two, it is a future title in the works.

Im looking forward to this game. But im looking foward to the Forum meltdown as well. History fanboys foaming at the mouth and denouncing CA as traitors. WARHAMMER purists posting pictures from GW books saying "This is how a dwarf beard should look! Get it right CA." The lost voices of people just after a decent gaming experiance.

I used to be quite opposed to Warhammer in the past(not just for total war,in general),though my gf got my addicted to the miniatures a few months back(after being taken to this convention thing where i saw a bunch of people play the board live) - now i`m really anticipating this -.- Too much in fact.

Im not a big Warhammer fan, honestly. It's a little too cheesy for my tastes in a lot of ways, though I do like the abundance of lore.

But Total War in a fantasy setting? It's the greatest news! ACTUAL MAGES! REAL MONSTERS! POSSIBLY FLYING UNITS!

People are already crying about the lack of history. Bah! You thought historical accuracy folks were bad? Wait until they screw up lances on a High Elven Dragon Rider.
