No, simply because they won't price it right. In theory, I'd be totally happy if they sold the base game either factionless or just with say, the empire and then sold every faction as DLC so you can pick and choose who you play. But in practice, we can't trust these companies to operate properly like that. The whole thing would end up costing $500 if they did that.

I am pretty much amazed that no one set up another "best prices" thread yet, as we had it for Rome 2 and Attila. Is there a lack of anticipation for the game so few weeks before release? For the benchmark stuff I am still looking for the cheapest possible way to get this game as I will not play it beside using it for my technical posts.

I imagine it's quite easy for people to find a decent price these days. If you're happy going third party, there's places like this which basically find the cheapest price for you:

    http://www.allkeyshop.com/blog/buy-t...ompare-prices/

I preordered a few days ago. I've seen enough of the game to think it's worth that pretty meagre asking price. And the fact CA played the Early Adopter card for their Chaos preorder is a pretty clear signal that a Rome II style launch is unlikely.

This is probably the only way I'd buy Warhammer. I just can't trust them after Rome so I'll be waiting on reviews.

I've been watching this game closely pretty much since it was announced. It may be "famous last words", but to my mind CA have demonstrated they're taking the release of this game seriously.

I would still have left it right up until release before preordering, but there's no harm in rewarding a dev when they do something right. The Early Adopter business is quite a puny concession but at least shows they're willing to make some compromise, so preordering a couple of weeks early felt like the same.

After the prolongued shite-storm CA brought on themselves with Rome II, it would be nice to think that smooth releases and good community engagement will be permanent fixtures near the top of their priority list. Looking at their long term track record, though, that seems a bit presumptuous. We'll see

Ok guys you convinced me. I have put up the thread now (link in my signature). Thanks for reaching a hand (great link) Fredrin! bought my copy today for about 34 € as I had some few credits left at the sellers page.

You can get the Chaos Warrior DLC up to a week after release now so if you have any doubts you can wait until then.

Why don't you just wait, view the user reviews and then decide. As said above you have a week to buy and still get the chaos DLC.
