    Very nice updates, especially loving Kniaz Guards unit. Great idea to have open face helmet for Nevsky. Couldnt help to notice, some models e.g. dismounted boyas sons look very much alike the units from Rus Total War for MTW2, inspirational move? In any case note in a positive way, coz those units were really canon one should say.

    This image represents the helmet at the time of the find (the mask was broken off and it lay in inverted position).
    The righ position of the mask:

    You shouldn't use Georgian Early/High period egg-shaped helmets in the late period.
    I think you should completely remove those which have metal balls on the top. If i'm not wrong, Rus helmets had mostly pointed shape or spike on the top:

    @Levan

    None of the images you presented as examples are late period.

    If your only argument for a change is that the fine detail at the top of the helmet should be a spike instead of a ball I'm afraid no change is forthcoming.

    The Russians were not totally unaware of balls:

    Why not having late tier Boyars?

    @Alexios

    I have specifically written two sentences in two paragraphs not to mix them up..
    But I will make it clear:
    1)You shouldn't use those egg-shaped helmets with metal balls in late period at all.
    2)As for the early/high period, Russian helmets should mostly have either egg-shape and spike(maybe ball on the spike too) or pointed-shape with or without the ball on the top.

    Those Georgian helmets are different construction which i have never seen on Rus warriors: firstly, it has ball on the top without any spike(what we have posted either has pointed-shape or spike with the ball). Secondly, it has reinforcement under the ball which is, again, not common on Rus egg-shaped helmets. Maybe you will find one or two but majority i have seen were pointed or spiked helmets(and only on those ball can also be present but not as a separate construction).

    It's your choice whether you will change the helmets or not but, as far as i know, you should. At least the late period.

    The Rus' did use such helmets, here is an example from the very late 14th century (Pokrovskaya Church of the Zverin Monastery in Novgorod).

    My statement on your examples not being late period was irrespective of your two paragraphs. You mentioned removing something from the late period, yet provided only early images. I was not sure with which statement your images went.

    The reenforcement isn't a uniquely Georgian attribute to such helmets.
    Here are two images with accenting that is rather similar, only more stylized.

    Either way I can only utilize the stereotypical Russian helmets so many times before it gets unduly boring. Such conical helmets would not have been uncommon in Rus, and so they're present. I can change the proportion if you'd like. This is an unfortunate period prior to the shishak and after the above helmets.

    Again, your roster - your choice. But those helmets are present only on 12-14th century Georgian depictions, fresco in Lucem Mundum's post is also 14th century, so i would remove them from late period. It looks out of place especially on units which have plated mail (If i'm not wrong, all plated mail armors on nobles belong to the second half of 15th century because spaulders are missing completely).

    Why calling them Kievan Nobles ? call them Boyars yes i know its the same thing but i think it would be much better to call them boyars

    These Russian Hunters could make good use of some fur.

    By the way, would love to see in the roster more Novgorodian special units representing more the republican style there
