    Icon5 Version/Submod WITHOUT "Realistic Recruitment"/Era Event Locked Units ?

    Howdy great peeps,

Is there a version or sub mod for SSHIP that disables the Realistic Recruitment aspect of the game?
After having played so many hours of mods, I hate having to wait before I can recruit a certain unit.

Plus some units become unavailable when a new era event rolls out (which just really sucks, in my opinion).
Stainless Steel (6.4) had a sub mod that disabled these things (waiting period before you can recruit a certain unit, era locking, removing old units when it happens).

    Hugs,
    Mike

    Hi Mike,
there's no such submod yet, sorry. Given that the mod is very much work-in-progress, there's no sense to make it now, maybe after 1.0 version of the mod is ready it would.
    cheers

If you want to play a historical mod in the medieval setting the best are:
Stainless Steel Historical Improvement Project and Broken Crescent.
Recently, Tsardoms and TGC look also very good. Read my opinions on the other mods here.

Reviews of the mods (all made in 2018): SSHIP, Wrath of the Norsemen, Broken Crescent.
Follow home rules for playing a game without exploiting the M2TW engine deficiencies.
Hints for Medieval 2 moders: forts, merchants, AT-NGB bug, trade fleets.
Thrones of Britannia: review, opinion on the battles, ideas for modding. Shieldwall is promising!
Dominant strategy in Rome2, Attila, ToB and Troy: “Sniping groups of armies”. Still there, alas!
