    DOWNLOAD

    INSTALLATION:

    1- Extract to your Medieval II Total War\mods.
    2- Go to the new folder AC_v08 in your Medieval II Total War\mods.
    3- Use the "Executable" batch file to launch the mod.
    4- Play and have fun.

    If the game is opened in a small window do this:

    Open Configuration.cfg with a text editor (preferably Notepad++) and you see this part:

    [video]
    movies = 0
    windowed = 1 ## Windowed mode (windowed = 1) is usually more stable
    borderless_window = 1
    no_background_fmv = 1
    show_banners = true
    # widescreen = 1
    # unit_detail = high
    # grass_distance = 9000

    Change windowed = 1 to windowed = 0

    Then in game options chose the native resolution of your monitor, after that you can change to windowed = 1 again and you'll still have full screen.

    How to create a shortcut to launch the mod from your desktop:

    - Go to AC_v08 folder, right click on the Executable file and chose "Create shortcut" and move the shortcut to the desktop.
    - Copy/paste the icon that is also in AC_v08 folder to the desktop.
    - Right click on the shortcut you created, chose properties and "Change icon...", then chose "Browse..." and then chose Desktop, you should have the icon there, just chose the icon.
    - Rename your shortcut to whatever you want, for example: Ancient Civilizations
    - You can now launch the mod always from your desktop.

    Pretty good! Looks like there is new mod on its way... good! Question? Do you only do ancient era mods?

    Well my latest mod "Regnum Caelorum" is for the crusades campaign and it actually has battles. I just have more interest in antiquity for several reasons especially when it comes to strategy games. However there is something related to the crusades and the "holy land", maybe it is the religious fervour and all the spirituality. My most popular mod which is for M&B Warband is also about the crusades. Anyway, Ancient Civilizations will most likely be my last mod.

    I love your mods, always find them very entertaining and they give us more diversity, apart from being very well made. My favorites are perhaps Regnum Caelorum and Bronze Age Empires. Can't wait for this one - and I wish you all the best in your future endeavours and projects in life .

    Thanks. I'm still finishing the units/unit rosters, this is always one thing that takes time. I'm revising a lot of the stuff, I'll replace the screenshots some time soon. Looking to setup the provinces and starting armies as the old setup doesn't fit the gameplay I want. Then there is some other stuff to finish, so it might take a bit yet to realease, depending on what I end up doing.

    The first version of the mod is finally released! I'm not aware of any bugs, report any you find. Replaced all screenshots as a lot of stuff has changed.

    Tip: To defeat Persia faction you need to first defeat the Satrapies. As of now you can't defeat Persia playing as a Satrapy, I do have some ideas regarding it, but I can't work properly on mods atm, so I've need to cut on some features. However you can actually play as Persia and the other 3 smaller Greek factions. All you need to do is move those factions from non playable to playable in descr_strat, just look up how to do that. You're even able to call for Invasions with Persia.
