Hardest Faction To Play

Always looking for a challenge: what is the hardest faction to play with in SSHIP?

I played the Crusader States: pretty easy, i think. no money-problems, no battle-problems - only real problem are the reemerging factions in Egypt and Syria.
Byzanthines: challenging, but not "hard".
HRE: really easy

all three always on vh/vh


so, can someone recommend a really hard to play faction in SSHIP?

Try Portugal, Lithuania or Cumans

Try selyuk empire..at the beginning it is easy but when mongols arrive..try survival to the horde..
Lithuania is a challenge faction, small territory, much enemies but wonderful pagans units!
And maybe norwegian,venezians or poland

Pisa.

The Italian city state of Pisa starts with one city. You have no money, and a weak army. The nearby rebel cities are too strong to take. I found it impossible!

This. Pisa is very tricky. Venice is a breeze in comparison.
