I'm very disappointed that (at least) human and dwarfs units can't develop a proper battle formation against enemies... a proper "shield wall" or "square formation" or a simple phalanx ? i know there is the "shield wall" ability, but you can see that units don't move themselves so as to form a proper shield wall, they just stay in the same formation... I would have liked to see a shield wall like that from the dwarfs in "The Hobbit - The battle of the five armies", that was a very cool shield wall/phalanx, or at least something similar on that. Orcs and vampire counts must not have these formations for obvious reasons...
That place you go to when the world becomes too much? I'm in the world. I'm why it's too much.

What are they going to take away next? Real time battles? The entire economy? I would rather the AI be able to use them well, but even if they couldn't, at least let the player use them. They look so much better.

IMHO AI can handle various terrain pretty well: it knows the principle of occupying high ground and use forest to mask its movement. And no, like 50% of my battles are on mountainous terrain, too much for my liking honestly.
One of the reasons why I'm hesitant to buy TW Warhammer, and dissappointed as well knowing that all over these years TW games still lacks authentic/proper battle formations. I'd really wish we could see some authentic formations such as these in CA's next TW title:

I'm not quite sure what this formation is (somebody know? kinda like a proper defensive testudo maybe?), But I'd really like to see this one in the next Roman era game.
