The Beastmen, sometimes known as the Cloven Ones, the Horned Ones, the Beast of Chaos or even the Children of Chaos are a race of savage mutant humanoids that bear various traits of bestial appearance, such as cloven hooves, muscular human bodies, horned bestial heads and a malign primitive intelligence. Proud of their origins, it is said that they are the descendants of ancient humans corrupted and twisted by the influence of Chaos at the dawn of Chaos's coming into the world.

Doombulls = "Doombulls, also known as Bloodcallers, the Fathers of Rage or simply as Minotaur Lords are the strongest and most ferocious of all Minotaurs, towering bull-headed and cloven-hoofed beasts almost as broad as they are tall. Little more intelligent than their lesser kin, they are instead set above others of their kind by the sheer animal intensity of their hunger for flesh, and their inherent ability to invoke this intense bloodlust in others." In White Dwarf the Doombull was considered a Lord choice, but on page 69 of the 3rd edition of Warhammer it's listed as a minotaur hero. Bovigors = Those Gors who have cattle horns on their head and may have the entire head of a bull or ox. Bovigors are highly competitive and see themselves as superior to all other Gors. Most have little use for thinking, preferring instead to use their mighty strength to solve problems.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Gor#Breeds
    https://i.imgur.com/An7VxYK.png White Dwarf 125
    https://i.imgur.com/RBukpsd.png White Dwarf 146

Brays = At the bottom of the herd are the Brays. These are beast men with no horns at all. Even the Ungors look down on these pathetic creatures, mocking them and bullying them at every opportunity. Brays rarely live for long, being the last to gain food and always the furthest from the warmth of their encampments. Brays take their name from the braying, whinnying, whooping cacophony they make when they band together to eat or kill.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Bray

Caprigors (Axe and Shield) = More common than all other types of Gors, Caprigors have curling or straight horns on their head, like a goat or ram. Most Caprigors may have the entire head of a goat, and if so, they also have matching goat legs.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Gor#Breeds

Caprigors (Two Hand Weapons) = More common than all other types of Gors, Caprigors have curling or straight horns on their head, like a goat or ram. Most Caprigors may have the entire head of a goat, and if so, they also have matching goat legs.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Gor#Breeds

Fey-Killers = Beastmen that have caught and eaten a Wood Elf.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wi...#Blood-Grounds

Foe-Render (Bestigor) = Champion of a Bestigor regiment.
    https://i.imgur.com/1fTNcab.png White Dwarf 275

Foe-Render (Gor) = Champion of a Gor regiment.
    https://i.imgur.com/1fTNcab.png White Dwarf 275

Gaves = Throughout the lands of the Empire and northwards, it is not uncommon for healthy human parents to produce a mutant child. Some try to conceal their baby’s deformities, but most feel such shame that they give them up to the forests and rivers, abandoning them to die from hunger or exposure. The Beastmen are keen for the whimpers of these lost children. Such foundlings are always adopted and reared with the rest of the herd, since the Beastmen regard these infants as gifts from their Gods.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Gaves

Gor Brutes = Tougher than normal Gor’s I’d suppose. Hand weapon, shield, medium armour.
    https://www.scribd.com/document/5860...Forges-of-Nuln Warhammer Fantasy RPG

Gors (Two Hand Weapons) = The Gors are the most common breed of the beast man race. Large, powerful, and numerous, they form the spine of all the tribes living within the entirety of the World today. Whilst their appearance varies a great deal, they all nonetheless combine some animalistic features with those of Mankind.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Gor
    https://i.imgur.com/1fTNcab.png White Dwarf 275

Halfhorns = Larger, more dangerous Ungor with large horns, they are little respected but still stand above their peers. In battle Ungors are bullied into a semblance of order by the largest of their number, known as Halfhorns, who seek a position in the battleline from which they can enact the most pain and suffering upon the foe.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Ungor

True-Gor = A beastman that possesses a fine set of horns and no other mutations is said to be a ‘True-Horn” or “True-Go” and it is these who are the strongest and most intelligent of the Gors. Mentioned in two places that aren’t the wiki’s, but pretty convincing none-the-less.
    https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_R...VEUFpUc2c/view
    https://warhammerfluffsource.wordpre...3/03/beastmen/

Tuskgor Marauders = There is no lore that says it is possible but none at all that says it is not, the Tuskgor are important to the Beastmen, they are used as pack animals to carry items, they pull chariots and even act as guard animals. Is it beyond reason to consider the idea of a Gor or Bestigor riding a Tuskgor? Not in my opinion.
    https://i.imgur.com/C6au344.png White Dwarf 400

Ungor Mauls =With hand weapon and shield.
Found in White Dwarf Issue 226

Ungors Shortspear = The Ungors are a pathethic and lowly breed that stands at the lowest rug of Beastmen society, serving as workers, foot soldiers, and resentful victims to the brutish whims and bullying of their larger brethren. Due to this, they can never truly occupy the higher echelons of their tribe, and are forever forced to live a life of poverty and suffering, a miserable state that is low for even the most foulest Beastmen. Spear and Shield.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Ungor

    Minotaurs
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Gorebulls = Gorebulls are the leaders of a Minotaur tribe, they are ferocious behemoths clad in powerful armour and hefty war-axes. When Morrslieb is full in the sky, the Gorebulls roar out a bellowing call that resounds around the forest for many miles, attracting yet more Minotaurs and invoking the bloodgreed that runs through all of their kind.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Gorebull

Minotaurs = Minotaurs are creatures of Chaos. May equip; Additional Hand Weapons, Great Weapons, Halberds, Spears, Light Armour

    Chaos-Touched Infantry
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

    https://i.imgur.com/7XjcSzi.png White Dwarf 275

Darksoul = Darksouls no longer house the essence of the daemon, but are deeply scarred by the experience. The Hung and Kurgan regularly subject captured slaves to terrifying rituals in which they bind a Daemon into their captive, letting it work its evil on the mortal form just long enough to destroy whatever good remained. Once the Daemon has done its work, they banish the creature and welcome the newly born Darksoul into their midst. Those who become Darksouls are forever changed, their humanity stripped from them for all time. They become wild and crazed creatures, retaining their human form but being of an utterly inhuman mind.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Darksoul

Daemonbreeds (Southern Pole Beastmen) = ”In the depths of the darkness, in the shrieking swirl and the infernal cold, Archaon saw beastmen without number. These were not the weakling corruptions of man and beast he had encountered in the forests of the Empire, nor the savage tribes of animal fury he had yoked to his warmongering in the Shadowlands. These were daemonbreeds. Diabolical fusions of fiend, beast and god knows what else. These shaggy beasts were sculptures in midnight muscle, cloven of hoof and crowned with extravagant tangles of daemon horn. In the ember twilight, their gore-smeared snouts and bestial fang-faces were contorted with the base desires that ruled their monstrous kingdom.”
Archaon: Everchosen novel by Rob Sanders

Fiendbreeds (Southern Pole Beastmen) = ”Tribes of fiendbreeds fought for the miserable featureless territory about the meltwater darkness of their birthing pools on the obsidian ice. They snorted, wrangled and butchered each other without end, burdening the icy gales with the perpetual bellows of death and savage celebration”
Archaon: Everchosen novel by Rob Sanders

Flayerkin = These are mutants crafted from a vile blend of Marauder, shaven and hell-forged iron. They have sharp claws grafted onto their wrists which they use to slice apart their foes and scale castle walls with chains fused to their spines, leaving behind a trail of corpses as they reach the top.
    https://www.scribd.com/doc/175292173/Wfb-Storm-of-Chaos

Iron Orcs = They are real enough, though it is unclear why only Carcassonian natives have so far encountered them. At first sight they look like black orcs in plate armour but without a helmet, but closer encounters reveal the armour is set into their skin. They are faster, stronger, and better armoured than Black Orcs, but Iron Orcs are less intelligent and more savage.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wi..._Orc#fn_1_back

    Mutants = Seems plausible.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Uesin

Night Horror = A monstrous humanoid.
    https://i.imgur.com/cQ9Recf.png White Dwarf 121

Skin Wolves = Things of pure nightmare that were once men, Skin Wolves, draped in tatters of human skin, are terrors of incomparable malice and fury, able to shred their victims to ribbons with their long-clawed fingers and feast upon their flesh with their fang-studded canine snouts.
    https://www.forgeworld.co.uk/en-GB/Skin-Wolves
    Warhammer Supplement: Monstrous Arcanum

Turnskin = The life of a Turnskin is misery. Caught between the world of Men and the world of Chaos, and welcome in neither, they cannot remain with their former kind and must flee into the wilderness to find others like themselves. But the Beastmen see Turnskins as things less than Brays, regarding them as weak and worthless, only allowing them to run with their Warherds because they add, however little, to their strength.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Turnskin

    Monstrous Beasts
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

    Bound Monsters
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Chaos Dragon = A Chaos Dragon dimly resembles its uncorrupted kin. It has a massive bloated body that splits into two long trunk-like necks that end in heads of horns and fangs. One head smokes with the fires that burn in its gullet, whilst the other sends plumes of acidic gasses into the air to scorch the land. Thick scales cover the body in places, but in others, its organs and muscles are revealed, pumping the corruption through a system of exposed veins and arteries. Its fiery heart beats within, sending showers of sparks onto the ground as it passes. Monstrous Arcanum lists it as a 'Kinship' monster to the Beastmen.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Chaos_Dragon
    Warhammer Supplement: Monstrous Arcanum

Chaos Hydra = A very old model of a chaos hydra is found in the document. It has a snake body and many heads. Though unlikely to be able to be made for TWW, a normal Hydra model could be made more chaotic to suit.
    https://i.imgur.com/1m21yjL.png White Dwarf 88
    https://docviewer.yandex.com/view/0/...OH0%3D&page=10

Chimerae = The three-headed Chimerae is one of the most fearsome of all Children of Chaos, a beast whose progenitors were so warped that it is now impossible to say what manner of creatures they might once have been. Chimerae are more susceptible than most monsters to the twisting power of Chaos. The heads of some breathe fire in the manner of Dragons, whilst other heads sprout razor-sharp fangs or jaws that drip with a poisonous slime.

    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Chimerae

Cockatrice = The Cockatrice is a repulsive Chaos-influenced beast with sorcerous capabilities. While this curious creature has very fast reactions and a great number of claws, it is not very strong, martially skilled or even particularly resistant to damage. However, the sorcerous capabilities of this monster allow it simply turn the assailants into stone with a simple stare. Enemies should not ever look it in the eye if they hope to emerge victorious. Even if they manage to wound the agile beast, it is likely that it will simply fly away, prefering to live long then die hard. According to Monstrous Arcanum it has 'kinship' with the Beastmen.

Direwolf "The Direwolf is the largest and most feared of all the wolves that inhabit the Old World. Direwolves are at least as intelligent as humans and far stronger. Jabberslythe = The beating of the Beastmen’s war drums often serves to draw Jabberslythes from their lairs, for they know that there will be rich pickings indeed at such times. The sounds of braying, shouting or even of celebration can be enough to bring a Jabberslythe lolloping and flapping from its lair, and they are always hungry.

Perched on its long, scrawny neck is a hideous head with a great slobbering maw and wattles on its cheeks. Many Jabberwocks have wings, though none fly—or, at least, none discovered have been able to fly. Instead, they flap their wings when excited, creating a disconcerting noise. Jabberwocks can be of any colour, and many are faintly luminous.”

Preytons = They are a savage and hateful breed of creature that haunts the forested lands of Bretonnia. So renowned is their ferocity that sighting of Preytons will draw knights from many miles around, seeking to prove their valor by slaying the beasts. Mighty and winged creatures of Chaos, hybrid in form like the Chimera, Preytons bear upon their vaguely equine heads a pair of blackened and serrated antlers which have caused foolhardy knights to mistake them for majestic Great Stags, much to their error.

This is a creature of this kind, spawned upon some unfathomable Chaotic whim and nurtured by helpmates themselves enslaved to the ever-changing will of Chaos.

Artois Boars = Artois Boars are Wild Boars that have been touched by Chaos. Whilst they are found throughout the Forest of Arden, they have never been seen beyond it, and most are found within the dukedom of Artois. They are even more bad-tempered than normal Wild Boars and are entirely carnivorous, preferring to eat living prey. Prey that screams and curses whilst it is being eaten is particularly popular. Peasants say if you can stay still and quiet whilst the boar is eating you, it will lose interest. Peasants say a lot of stupid things.

Hag Trees = Most terrible of all the features of the Drakwald Deeps are the so-called hag trees. These are impossibly ancient, perhaps older than the forests themselves. They have been made huge and gnarled by the passage of aeons. Beastmen warbands flock to such trees from far and wide, adorning them with grisly trophies and skeletal remains, and engaging in blasphemous, moonlit worship of foul gods.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Curs’d Ettin = They are fell creatures renowned in the dreaded sagas of the norse. Even in that barbarous, warp-touched land, few are as feared or reviled as they. Twin-headed abominations born of Chaos, they are the terror of the high moorlands and mountains of the North, dwelling in lonely caverns and the once-proud ruins of Citadels. Hulking and twisted creatures, they greatly resemble the more commonplace Giants in size and strength, as well as in hunger for flesh and blood. Yet they are also easily distinguished from those already brutal creatures by their horrific deformities and cruel intellects.

These Ettins are branded with magical runes that burn with unholy power, allowing them to call upon the various Lores of Magic, such as those of Shadow and Death. Though their power cannot hope to approach that of a true Sorcerer, the combination of adept magical knowledge and brute strength makes the Ettin even more dangerous. These savage creatures retain the cunning of their kind, but are entirely animalistic in appearance.

Information Thread for Potential New Beastmen Units - Continued

    Other Beastman Variant Breeds
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Ape-Beastmen of the Southlands = The hordes of the Ape-Beastmen of the Southlands differ from other Beastmen warherds in that they are organised in a fashion similar to any other armed units from other civilised nations – there will be units of shock troops, mounted warriors, ranged weapon units and armoured elite warriors.
    https://warhammerfluffsource.wordpre...3/03/beastmen/

Blackspines Beastmen = A curious type of Beastmen is known to inhabit the Blackspines in the lands of the Naggaroth, this scaled creature typically stays in the shadows of the mountains or caves at least during daylight hours – they are taller than a man, as high as an Elf more like and are covered from head to toe in craggy scales, they are not particularly evolved and still brandish stone axes or clubs as weapons. But they are numerous and from time to time are known to either form raiding parties or latch onto a greater warband of Chaos off towards some greater objective of mutual benefit.
    https://warhammerfluffsource.wordpre...3/03/beastmen/

Breed of Nightgar = Mentioned but almost nothing is known about them.

Cat-Beastmen of Indhya = In the lands of Indhya and Khuresh the Beastmen are different again, these ferocious beasts have the heads of giant hunting cats similar in appearance to the common Tiger, Lion and Panther – the jungles in those lands are dense and humid and the peoples of those lands know not too venture too far into the interior, as few who do ever return to tell of their experience.
    https://warhammerfluffsource.wordpre...3/03/beastmen/

Lakemen = Lakemen are a variety of Beastmen found primarily in the Lyonen region of the Forest of Arden, though they swim out to plague the rest of southern Lyonesse with depressing frequency. They all have a vaguely amphibian appearance, often with faces resembling frogs, pincers in place of hands, and gills allowing them to breathe underwater.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Lakemen

Tuskers = ”Like a delegation they were making their way through the Tusker herd of the beastlord Gorghas Hornsqualor. Muscular and shaggy, Hornsqualor’s beastmen were covered with fur of dour white, almost matching the ice of the glacier about them. Like the beastlord, the beastmen had each been blessed with a single horn, like a narwhal, making the herd appear like grizzled, rearing unicorns.”
Archaon: Everchosen novel by Rob Sanders

Ymir = Unlike the Beastmen, Ymir are generally solitary creatures, only meeting with another to produce a few whelps. They have no formal language, communicating in guttural growls and grunts. An Ymir stands just over seven-foot tall and weighs over 300 pounds. Its entire body is covered in thick, shaggy, white hair that gains a yellowish hue towards its lower body.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Ymir

Boglars look like any other Gnoblar though their skin is a greenish-grey and they have beady yellow eyes. They spend much of their time catching frogs, fish and other amphibious or reptilian critters, dissecting them with broken sticks and eating them alive. Although Boglars normally seem to affiliate only with other Boglars, Gnoblars and Goblins, a large tribe of Boglars in the Marshes of Madness have been rumoured to be in alliance with strange, cyclopean creatures. From the Gnoblar Hordes army list.

Bog Octopus = ”It has the look of a huge Octopus, with eight tentacles, huge round eyes, and green skin - but there the resemblance ends. These creatures live in the cold and forbidding marshes and bogs of the Old World. Their entire lives are spent squelching menacingly around in stinking mud and quagmires, surfacing occasionally to drag down and eat some passing creature. Living in such a dense medium, they are incredibly strong and, once caught by a tentacle, it is very hard for all but the strongest creatures to escape.”

Default Re: Information Thread for Potential New Beastmen Units

    Special and Named Characters

Here is contained a full list of every possible Legendary Lord or Legendary Hero that I could find for the Beasts of Chaos. I have split them into different categories for each tribal faction and whether they suit being Lords or Heroes, so it is easier to know which they are best suited to being added to, if someone wished to add them to the game. Unfortunately, due to the nature of the Beastmen, it has been difficult to place most of them into different tribes, in a case or two I've used part of the name of a character to create their tribe. This isn't strictly loreful, the characters themselves are loreful but the tribal name is there to help designate them for people. Anyhow, without further ado, here we go:

Morghur, Master of Skulls = Born almost three centuries ago, the creature known as Morghur was far from a human child. With tooth and horn, he ripped his mother apart in his gory entrance to the world, while her features mutated horribly. Her distraught husband reached forwards to strangle the twisted abomination, yet as his hands touched the foul creature, his body also was wracked with hideous mutation.

Khazrak the One-Eye = Khazrak has a unique ability to control and harness the unruly spirit of the herd and devise simple but effective battle plans. He is unlike most Beastmen, with a patient and cunning mind at odds with the normal headstrong nature of his kind. Khazrak's warband roams the Drakwald, terrorising the townships and roads, and never before has a Beastman leader proven so elusive to retribution. No one is spared in Khazrak's attacks, his superbly trained Warhounds chasing down the few who manage to escape the warherd itself.

His, the largest horde of beasts ever seen, ravaged the Empire almost beyond recovery killing millions of Men and bringing two entire provinces to their knees.*Though he had no true magical powers, he had something of the shaman about him, often being visited by nightmare visions of the future. Such was his fervour in battle that he was sometimes cloaked by coronas of dark energy, which protected him or struck out at his foes. By evening, the Beastmen had reached the foothills about the Dwarfen stronghold of Karak-Hirn, and there they commenced a night of bloody slaughter. In a single night, the Dwarfs' holdings all about Karak Hirn were reduced to ashes, their ancestral lands trampled and burnt and their finest warriors laid low by the rampaging Beastmen.

The battle that followed, it is told, saw the Stone-Hom match his savagery against the twisted magics of the rat-leader, each proving the equal of the other, until finally Mogok's axe clove in two his opponent's staff. With that blow, it is said that the rat-creature's powers fled from his body, and the next cut the Skaven leader in half from brow to loin.

He came to Archaon willingly, professing with his thick goat’s tongue that Slaanesh admired the beacon of pride and self-adulation that was the Chaos warrior Archaon. Archaon didn’t believe the beast’s praise and didn’t like him either but had to admit that the extra muscle would be useful. Bhorgl proved popular in the warband. His brute warriors brought with them the secret of brewing fungus ale from the black mushrooms to be found about ruined buildings. Malus was shocked to realise that they looked strikingly similar to the runes carved on the surface of Urial’s relic. Molokh Slugtongue, the Famine-Fiend = At first glance, Slugtongue could be mistaken for a death-devil, for his head is little more than a leering, bovine skull and his emaciated body is covered with liver-spots and coarse, white hair. Yet on closer inspection Slugtongue teems with life, albeit of the basest kind - he is host to colonies of fat black lice, hopping fleas, bloated tics, wriggling worms and stink* bodied cockroaches that infest every dank crevice of his wretched frame.

The Greater Daemon of Nurgle caused horrendous damage, breaking through the Imperial line and enabling the Braylord to push closer to the city, before eventually being banished back to the Realm of Chaos."

    PaulH's Suggested Faction Unit Lists

This is something a bit different from what I've been working on so far. This time I am going to attempt to assign units to each faction within the Empire with the exception of Marienburg. Not only that, but a few cities will also get mini-lists as well to show that certain areas should have troops that are only available in that one region. I will not claim that this will be 100% accurate to the lore, but I'll get it as close as I possibly can. I should also mention that these lists will not expand on the lore behind each unit, as all that is contained in the first post, as are the web-links to each one.

    Jagged Horn Tribe

The Jagged Horn Tribe has its home in the Middle Mountains, they are not a typical Beastmen tribe as they bring vast numbers of monsters to the battlefield and are known to ride them in battle and to battle. This tribe makes extensive use of Ungor Raiders who serve as scouts.

Magical Weapons, Armour, Amulets, Scrolls and Other Items

This section deals in those magical items that can be used by this faction. This is by no means a full list, I doubt I'll ever get that, but it will provide modders with information if they wish to add new magical weapons, armour and items into the game to be used.

    Common Magic Items
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
If you follow the link below you will find dozens of magical items that are commonly found in the Old World (and beyond).
    https://www.twcenter.net/forums/show...1#post15255257

    Magic Weapons
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Axes of Khorgor = ”When the irascible Banebeast Khorgor was eventually slain and his body consumed by his followers, his half-sentient axes became trophies that have been fiercely fought over by the warherds ever since.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...290REo2Nmc1U1E
    https://i.imgur.com/GdoCwUz.png White Dwarf 275

Axe of Men = ”The Axe of Men is so-called because it hews men apart as easily as other, lesser axes hew timber. A single, mighty stroke from this fearsome axe can cut even the most powerful warrior clean in half - a sight which emboldens the bearer’s followers and horrifies his enemies in equal measure.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...290REo2Nmc1U1E

Basilisk Blade = ”Even after death the bones of a Basilisk poison the world around them, exuding a foul aura that can putrefy flesh and corrode metal. Weapons fashioned from the rancid bones recovered from Basilisk remains are terrifyingly deadly, but thankfully rare as they are just as deadly to their wielders as they are to their victims.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...V96TFBvQ1dNZGc Monstrous Arcanum

Bonecrusher Mace = ”This massive, heavy club is ringed with bands of cursed iron, and carries enchantments of shattering and destruction. Though it lacks an edge with which to penetrate armour, those struck by it find their bones turn to powder under the sheer brute force of the blow. Even castle gates have fallen to this weapon in its long and bloody history.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...290REo2Nmc1U1E

Chaos Runesword = "This weapon was forged by Grungni Ironheart, a Dwarf Runesmith that was corrupted and led astray by the Chaos Gods. The runes carved into the blade increase the bearer's Weapon Skill, Strength and Attacks by 1 point each."
    https://i.imgur.com/Cmqq8QQ.png White Dwarf 172

Cold Iron Blade = ”Ancient lore claims that only iron weapons shaped without the use of fire can harm the spirits that infest certain regions of the world. Only the strongest of smiths can perform such a feat, hammering the metal into shape with brute strength before such artefacts are enchanted. Though the results are always crudely shaped, their potency against the ephemeral creatures is unquestionable.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...V96TFBvQ1dNZGc Monstrous Arcanum

Everbleed = ”Also known as Warrior’s Bane, this much-feared blade bears a potent blood magick. Even a slight cut will erupt in a geyser of gore that will not heal.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...290REo2Nmc1U1E

Great Fang = ”Carved from the tooth of a monstrous Shaggoth, the Great Fang tears through armour, bone and flesh with ease.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...290REo2Nmc1U1E
    https://i.imgur.com/GdoCwUz.png White Dwarf 275

Hunting Spear = ”Originally created to fell the mighty Mammuts of the far north, this thick-hafted spear bears enchantments allowing it to penetrate metres of flesh and muscle, skewering the foe through-and-through.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...290REo2Nmc1U1E

Mangelder = ”The Mangelder is a weapon dreaded by the enemies of the Beastmen the length and breadth of the Old World. It saps strength of mind as well as of body, and those few who survive wounds inflicted by the weapon rarely fight again.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...290REo2Nmc1U1E

Primeval Club = ”Though in appearance it is little more than a gnarled great-club bound in cracked leather and infested with spiders and slugs, the Primeval Club was made from a bough of the legendary corpse-tree blessed by Morghur’s fell touch. It has been stained red with blood since the dawn of civilisation and is the bane of all order and hope.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...290REo2Nmc1U1E

Scimitar of Skultar = ”The dark, serrated blade of this weapon is engraved with words of power in the Dark Tongue, keeping its biting edge keen and sharp for all time.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...290REo2Nmc1U1E
    https://i.imgur.com/GdoCwUz.png White Dwarf 275

Slaughterer’s Blade = ”Taking the form of a crude glaive writing with veins and gasping, fanged mouths, the Slaughterer’s Blade feeds on indiscriminate bloodletting. Any who wield it are said to gain eternal life, provided that the blood on the blade never dries.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...290REo2Nmc1U1E

Stonecrusher Mace = ”A great blunt weapon with an iron beast-head at its tip, the Stonecrusher Mace has become a symbol of the Beastmen’s eternal desire to unmake that which Man has made, and to cast down his civilisation so that no stone is left standing upon another.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...290REo2Nmc1U1E

The Black Maul = ”This brutally spiked cudgel is stained black, having bathed in the blood of thousands slain on the field of battle. The spirit of the heavy, unsubtle weapon hungers for blood, and any who carry it for long become overwhelmed with visions of darkness and blood, and find themselves obeying the bloodthirsty longing of the Black Maul”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...290REo2Nmc1U1E
    https://i.imgur.com/GdoCwUz.png White Dwarf 275

The Brass Cleaver = ”The Brass Cleaver is said to be an artefact from another realm. Ancient and terrible, its outline blurs with a barely restrained thirst for carnage.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...290REo2Nmc1U1E

The Lash of Itzaotyl = ”Used by the servants of the Old Ones to subdue the massive beasts that stalked the world at the dawn of time, the ancient Last of Itzaotyl ensnares all it touches with an unbreakable tendril of pure magical essence. Since its theft from the Lizardmen, by the daughters of Naggaroth millennia ago, it has known many masters and current whereabouts are unknown.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...V96TFBvQ1dNZGc Monstrous Arcanum

The Steel-Claws = ”Made from the broken shards of enchanted Elven weapons, the Steel-claws are a set of splintered blades that fit over the wearer’s own talons.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...290REo2Nmc1U1E

    Magic Armour
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Blackened Plate = ”This battered suit of ramshackle plate mail is blackened with the soot of burning palaces and temples. It is said that the wearer can walk through the fiercest conflagration unharmed.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...290REo2Nmc1U1E

Blade-Blunter Armour = ”This armour is encrusted with a vivid patina of corrosion and decay, cursed by a Bray-Shaman so that is spreads to any blade that strikes it. Even the keenest weapon is blunted, dulled or shattered upon striking the armour.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...290REo2Nmc1U1E

Chaos Armour = This supernatural form of armour is a gift from the Gods and grows to become part of its wearer. Only Chaos Sorcerers may have Chaos Armour
    https://i.imgur.com/fhfNHX9.jpg 3rd Ed. Armies Book

Pelt of the Dark Young = ”After years of being smeared in blood, filth and excrement in the name of the Chaos gods, the Champion’s pelt has mutated into an iron-hard cloak of gristle and hair that affords protection from both physical and magical attacks.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...290REo2Nmc1U1E

Pelt of the Shadowgave = ”The Pelt of the Shadowgave is shrouded in sorcerous tendrils of darkness that gather unlight to both the wearer and those Beastmen that walk in his dark-shrouded footsteps.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...290REo2Nmc1U1E

Ramhorn Helm = ”This ornate headdress has two great curving ram horns that spiral and tighten around the wearer’s own horns, allowing the bearer to deliver a devastating headbutt to any enemy that lowers his guard.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...290REo2Nmc1U1E

Scintillating Shield = ”In the ancient legends of Estalia, retold so many times in their origin is now forgotten, heroes would be gifted with shields which were so highly polished they blinded their foes and deflected the deadly gaze of the Basilisks and Cockatrice that were the scourge of that Land in ancient days. Scintillating Shields, whether they be the items spoken of in legend or more recent creations wrought by wizard-craft, fetch a prince’s ransom when rumours of Basilisk or Cockatrice attack spread.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...V96TFBvQ1dNZGc Monstrous Arcanum

The Fur of Sharrgu = ”When the towering beast-spawn known as Sharggu was slain, its hide was roughly cut and ripped from its body to make a heavy, shaggy cloak. It was said that Sharggu was impervious to arrows and javelins hurled against it, and so it was believed that the fur could make a champion invulnerable to missiles.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...290REo2Nmc1U1E

Trollhide = ”The Trollhide confers some of the more gruesome abilities of its former occupant to the wearer.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...290REo2Nmc1U1E

Trollhide Armour = ”Properly treated and inscribed with the correct sigils when Morrsleib is full in the sky, the Trollhide Armour confers some of the more gruesome abilities of its former occupant to the wearer.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...290REo2Nmc1U1E

Wyrmscale Armour of the Deep = ”A glistening coat of Merwyrm scales, the enchantment on this armour keeps it coated with a shimmering Layer of briny sea water. Not only do the iron-hard scales deflect sword and arrow, but the scales still recall their home in the icy deeps of the ocean and grant their wearer passage through water and foil fiery assaults upon him.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...V96TFBvQ1dNZGc Monstrous Arcanum

    Talismans
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Chalice of Dark Rain = ”Made from the skull of a geomancer, when filled with soil the Chalice of Dark Rain can summon a deluge of mud that ruins the bright uniforms of the foe and fouls their delicate machineries of war.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...290REo2Nmc1U1E

Crown of Horns = ”Occassionally, a beast that has earned the favour of his patron god sprouts a thick crown of long, jet-black horns from his skull. Rivulets of blood constantly trickle from where the horns have pushed through his forehead, and it is obvious to all that the bearer has truly been marked for greatness.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...290REo2Nmc1U1E

Eye of Night = ”The Eye of Night is a black stone charm worn about the neck of its bearer. It’s inky depths creep outward to envelop its bearer, protecting him from the effects of certain types of baleful energy and turning the power of the Winds of Magic against their caster.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...290REo2Nmc1U1E

Faithless Charm = ”The degenerate Ettin hill clans have been known to hang these small craven charms in the dismal northern woods, warding away those who would trespass on the Ettin’s miserable existence. Each is an embodiment of the unholy curse that afflicts the very souls of the Ettin. Those foolish enough to carry one with them for any length of time find their senses sharpened - until they lose control and the curse consumes them too.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...V96TFBvQ1dNZGc Monstrous Arcanum

Fimir-skin Cloak = ”The skin of a fimir is gnarled, making it tough to work with. But to a dedicated artificer, a cloak fashioned from such a pelt is resistant to any blade.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...WhndVE0VklZZDA

Rune of the True Beast = ”The bearer has a rare and potent rune fused into his flesh, a sigil of pure savagery that has devolved its wearer into nothing more than a ravenous mass of muscle and fangs. Even the strongest beast with cower before the unbridled ferocity of this raging predator.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...290REo2Nmc1U1E

The Dark Heart = ”This pulsating, dark red gemstone exudes a throbbing dark light and beats like a living heart. Those under the influence of its power are filled with a longing to kill, and will charge recklessly at the foe, filled with hate-fuelled invigoration.”

    https://i.imgur.com/GdoCwUz.png White Dwarf 275

The Pinion of the Phoenix = ”These ephemeral feathers, plucked from the burning wings of a manifested phoenix and woven into a talisman, are preserved by the arts of ancient Elf magic. Handed down through generations of High Elf nobility, they are borne into the direst of battles as badges of honour, swiftly burning away to dust once removed from their protective caves. While they last they protect their bearer from harm, and should he fall grant him a fiery reprieve from death.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...V96TFBvQ1dNZGc Monstrous Arcanum

The Shard of Morrslieb = ”This necklace bears a shard fallen from the moon of Morrslieb, a baleful talisman that fills the bearer with a deathless vigour.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...WhndVE0VklZZDA

Warpscale Pendant = ”Crafted from the deformed scales of a Warpfire Dragon, these eerily worked talismans are the product not of twisted Skaven ingenuity as some suspect but rather of some unseen agency believed to be connected to the ruling cabals of the Tilean City-states. Ensorcelled to protect the wearer against weapons fuelled by warpstone, many Skaven wizards covet such items as a measure against assassination by their own kind - though the fear Warpfire Dragon’s cause among the warpstone-laden holds of the Skaven keeps them rare.”

Shard of the Herdstone = ”A sliver of strangely growing stone, the shard is cast to the ground and an instant later a mighty, jagged herdstone will burst from the writhing soil.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...290REo2Nmc1U1E

Skin of Man = ”The wearer of the flayed, sigil-encrusted Skin of Man is under a glamour that makes him appear little more than a particularly ugly peasant. When the skin is cast aside the awful truth is revealed.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...290REo2Nmc1U1E

Stone of Spite = ”Contained within this glowing stone is the soul of an Ungor slain in a hideous ritual. When cast to the ground, the stone shatters and the Ungor’s bitterness and spite is released in a howling gale that is drawn to magical emanations with devastating effect.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...290REo2Nmc1U1E

    Magic Standards
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Manbane Standard = ”A grotesque mockery of the scarecrows that dot the agricultural lands of the Empire, the Manbane Standard is essentially a corpse beset by carrion birds that peck and caw incessantly. Any who behold this unnerving sight are filled with the dread that it will be their eyes and tongues the birds feast upon next.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...290REo2Nmc1U1E

Preyseeker = ”Preyseeker is a standard hung with the skins of wolves, savage hounds and other feral predators. It guides its bearers to the exact location of their prey, a herd with such a banner will never go hungry.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...290REo2Nmc1U1E

Sacrificial Banner = ”Covered with arcane patterns daubed in blood and draped in ornate sigils and charms the Sacrificial Banner looks impressive, but its real purpose is rarely explained to those troops ‘honoured’ with its care. It is enchanted with the sole purpose of enraging and attracting the ire of the gigantic monsters that prowl the Warhammer world, so that a canny general can dictate the movement of his enemy’s most powerful ally.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...V96TFBvQ1dNZGc Monstrous Arcanum

The Banner of Outrage = ”The Banner of Outrage takes the form of a legendary standard torn from the dying grip of its erstwhile bearer and desecrated before his very eyes. The banner is befouled and stained and is a terrible affront to the enemy, while the Beastmen are fuelled to ever more vile extremes of savagery in its presence.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...290REo2Nmc1U1E

The Beast Banner = ”This ancient banner is stitched together from the skins of defeated enemies. Only the flayed skins of the most powerful foes are used, for the Beastmen become imbued with the power of their conquests.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...290REo2Nmc1U1E
    https://i.imgur.com/GdoCwUz.png White Dwarf 275

The Bog Standard = ”This plain flag looks like little more than a rag on a stick.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...WhndVE0VklZZDA

The Flesh Banner = ”The Flesh Banner is made from living body-matter and looks like a boneless man stretched into a large, squarish shape. In battle, the pitiful creature wails and screams at the enemy, clutching at them with flailing arms and tentacles, drawing them towards its drooling mouths.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...290REo2Nmc1U1E

The Gore Banner = ”Festooned with the horns of past Beastlords, the Gore Banner is a powerful symbol to Beastmen and bolsters their confidence.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...290REo2Nmc1U1E

Totem of Rust = ”Little more than a jagged spike with the corroded remains of fully armoured warriors impaled upon it, the Totem of Rust spreads an aura of entropy that consumes metal in a matter of seconds.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...290REo2Nmc1U1E

Vitriolic Totem = ”This gnarled, contorted bough is hung with the heads of fallen Bestigor champions, bulging from within its dark branches like obscene fruit. The magic of the totem is so strong that these heads chatter with a semblance of life, dribbling thick strings of poisonous blood in an unholy sacrament onto the outstretched weapons of the Beastmen below.”

    Kadon’s Scrolls of Binding
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
When a storm of magic breaks, it isn’t merely battlefield sorcery that increases in power. All manner of spells and items dormant for decades suddenly crackle into vibrant life, eager to have their power unleashed on an unsuspecting world. Chief among these are Kadon’s Scrolls of Binding; each scroll was crafted with a particular beast in mind. These came from the Warhammer Supplement: Monstrous Arcanum, in the chart in that book it listed each monster for each faction as either Abhorrent, Binding Scroll or Kinship, these monsters here are all but those that are Abhorrent to this faction. I would assume that those scrolls for monsters with Kinship would be more common. The Scrolls of Binding that may be used vary from race to race, the following are those that may be used by this faction:

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Arabyan Puzzlebox = ”This elegantly crafted container houses many hundreds of glittering gemstones, each with the power to harness the Winds of Magic if used in the correct manner. Alas, the user can never truly be sure that the compartment he has opened will contain the gems he needed.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...WhndVE0VklZZDA Storm of Magic

Black Book of Ibn Naggazar = ”Ibn Naggazar was a brilliant, if somewhat maniacal, Arabyan sorcerer. Whilst it is unknown whether his madness sprang from isolation, too many attempts at creating intoxicating ‘elixirs’ or the honeyed promises of whispering Daemons, there can be no doubt that he was utterly insane. No rational wizard would create a book inked on the skin of his closest family, much less constantly follow its advice.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...WhndVE0VklZZDA Storm of Magic

Blade of Last Resort = ”This sword has ever had a twisted sense of humour, seeking out overmatched heroes and aiding them against a chosen foe. However, the Blade of Last Resort draws its strength from a victor’s glorious lifeblood; those that best an opponent with its aid themselves have scant moments to live.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...WhndVE0VklZZDA Storm of Magic

Dawnstar Sword = ”Legend goes that this blade was forged in the first rays of light to strike the world. The energy of this auspicious enchantment remains embedded deep within the burnished blade, waiting to be called forth once more in a blaze of glory.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...WhndVE0VklZZDA Storm of Magic

Dodecahedron of Continental Drift = ”Said to have been left behind by the Old Ones, this peculiar object can be used to remake the world. Each alteration to the Dodecahedron’s external matrix is reflected on the land around the user. Its ill-considered use can easily prove catastrophic…”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...WhndVE0VklZZDA Storm of Magic

Fozzrik’s Floating Fortress = ”Though Fozzrik’s magical aptitude led him to become a wizard, he never lost his love for architecture. Many of the Old World’s cities have been built around immaculate structures that Fozzrik created from stone and sorcery, but more prized by far are his floating fortresses - buildings that move under their own power and sprout defences to repel intruders.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...WhndVE0VklZZDA Storm of Magic

Giantkin Helm = ”After constantly being told ‘We expect big things from you’ by his Elector Count father, Heinrich von Roth spent much of the family fortune commissioning an artefact that would help him achieve greatness. Alas, he was to learn that when dealing with wizards, precision of diction is just as important as largesse of payment.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...WhndVE0VklZZDA Storm of Magic

Living Deadwood Staff = ”Arboreonecromancy is a little-practiced branch of wizardry - any mystic crazed enough to attempt it normally transfers his attentions back to raising zombies and skeletons, rather than undead trees. However, legends tell of the Archmage Sycamo, ‘The Daemon Carpenter of Estalia’, who not only perfected a method of reanimating trees from their residual elements, but also filling them with astounding vigour. Much of Sycamo’s work has, fortunately, been lost to the intervening aeons, but the Living Deadwood Staff never stays missing for long…”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...WhndVE0VklZZDA Storm of Magic

Paranoth’s Piquet Fence = ”Paranoth was a famous travelling mage, who trod every road ‘twixt Cathay and Naggarond. Naturally, only a particularly foolish wizard would journey such roads without defences, so Paranoth wove himself a sorcerous fence to defend his encampments whilst he and his companions slept.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...WhndVE0VklZZDA Storm of Magic

Rockcharmer’s Flute = ”Androgast Gildheim was the first man in the Empire to master this granite flute, but its origins lie hidden in the mists of time. Some say that the Rockcharmer’s Flute was used to destroy the old Dwarfen realms, others that it sank the fabled realm of Seidon. However, the most popular tale concerns a drunken Halfling, the Rockcharmer’s Flute, a jug of lamp oil, a plate of sausages and the accidental creation of the Grey Mountains.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...WhndVE0VklZZDA Storm of Magic

Silverstone Axe = ”In the ancient barrows that dot the Empire, huge enchanted axes forged of gromril, known to ancient men as Silverstone, have been found. Inert until the storms of magic howl, these axes are so heavy that only the strongest warriors can lift them and then impact shakes the ground, knocking armoured warriors from their feet while against wizards their effects are even more potent as the winds of magic lash and recoil at their blows. When a storm of magic rages these weapons are brought to the battlefield once again to bring down the titanic beasts set loose upon the world.” - Magic Weapon
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...V96TFBvQ1dNZGc Monstrous Arcanum

The Crucible of Horrors = ”No one knows from whence the Crucible of Horrors came, but contained within the flash of twisted meteoric iron is a vortex of seething black energy which screams like the torment of damned souls. This deadly artefact has been sought out by many down the centuries, and it has passed through the hands of many tyrants, arch-sorcerers, wizards and kings, and at its use the destruction of cities and slaughter of armies has been laid. When unleashed the power of the crucible is erratic and dangerously unstable, but it can unleash devastation and even create nightmarish doppelgangers of slain monsters to fight at the wielder’s bidding. The power of the Crucible of Horrors is treacherous however, as more than one would be conqueror has found to their cost.” - Enchanted Items
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...V96TFBvQ1dNZGc Monstrous Arcanum

The White Sistrum = ”There are many night-haunted legends originating from the foetid jungles and deadly wastes of the far hinterlands of Khuresh. Stories abound of the dread Snake Men and the foul and nightmarish Blood Naga queens who rule there, and it is a realm where men are no more than hunted prey, and blood and souls are the only coin in trade. Rarely do artefacts of this fell civilisation reach the Old World and all are steeped in blood and misunderstood power. One such artefact is the White Sistrum, a strange ivory-grown, drum shaped like an hourglass, whose discordant music brings madness and death, and evokes the terrible rites of the Naga.” - Arcane Item
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...V96TFBvQ1dNZGc Monstrous Arcanum

Windcatcher Prism = ”This peculiar bauble was crafted long ago, its purpose very much tied to storms of magic. Once a particular Wind of Magic rises to a certain cataclysmic level, the Windcatcher Prism absorbs and rechannels a portion of its power, bestowing the bearer - and his immediate allies - with an avataric aspect of the ascendant Wind of Magic.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...WhndVE0VklZZDA Storm of Magic

Woodwaker’s Wand = ”Once upon a time, all the woods in the world were linked. Some say this great forest was alive, in a curious sort of way, and that every tree that now grows retains a portion of its vigour and intelligence just waiting to be revived.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...WhndVE0VklZZDA Storm of Magic

Wyssan’s Weighted Dice = ”This set of weighted dice is one amongst many forged by Arctovian Wyssan over the course of a long and (unsurprisingly) successful wagering career. At the bearer’s command, these skull-marked cubes play havoc with the laws of causality; turning certainty into bleak misfortune.”

    Lore Information Regarding Beastmen

When a series is being continuously updated for a quarter of a century there is bound to be a massive amount of lore that has been created for it. This is an attempt to collate important snippets of lore that I have found during my research into units. I am presenting these in note form rather than in quote form due to the sheer amount of information that is potentially able to be displayed here, but I hope that it will prove useful or interesting to you regardless.

    General Information
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
    - Only Sorcerers may have Chaos Armour
    https://i.imgur.com/fhfNHX9.jpg 3rd Ed. Armies Book

    - The beastmen gors known as Bovigors are similar to Minotaurs in appearance, though smaller.
    - They have the same bovine heads as Minotaurs.
    - The Bovigors look up to Minotaurs as big brothers and protectors.
    - Sometimes Bovigors seek out minotaur bands to join.
    - Minotaurs refer to bovigors as "little brothers" and "little calves"
    - Bands of bovigors and minotaurs that meet will rarely fight but will have a truce.
    - Minotaur champions have shrines with glowing warpstone inside. Sometimes they will let bovigors into this domain.

    - There is a contagion that can affect humans when Morrslieb is at its zenith. It makes them insane, chaos tainted and violent. It’s known as the Madness of Morrslieb in the Empire.
Tales of the Old World: Faith

    Centaur

    - Chaos Centaurs may be found galloping with Chaos armies.
    - They can vary wildly and have a tendency for chaotic mutation.
    - Because Chaos Centaurs are riddled with Chaos, their attacks are considered magical.
    - Chaos Centaurs have been ridden as mounts.
    - Chaos Centaur wizards have been known to use necromantic and daemonic spells.

    https://i.imgur.com/ivPwtyV.jpg 3rd Ed. Armies Book

    - Chaos Centaurs are one of the more stable forms of Beastmen, produced by the twisting effect of warpstone on natural life.
    - With the bodies of horses and the torsos of men, these creatures are often mutated and may vary wildly in appearance

    - A fimir contingent will never have more than a single Meargh
    - If a Meargh has brought up a ‘daughter’, then the clan will split in two once she comes of age and forms her own clan
    - It is a very rare event for a Meargh to raise a daughter
    - If the Meargh dies without a successor the clan will disperse, with various retinues of warriors setting out on a death-quest as they seek a new Meargh or the ultimate annihilation
    - Sometimes a noble will be banished by a Meargh and take his warriors with him, these bands are often willing to make common cause with other evil races
    - Shearls perish with the sundering of a clan
    - The Dirach, or daemon-friends, usually accompany any fimir raiding force
    - Fimir associate with daemons and even worship them
    - Their wizards are masters of daemonic magic, and the Meargh will often make pacts with daemons sealed by blood sacrifices
    - Capturing victims for sacrifice is a motive for attacking human settlements

    The Empire
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
    - There is a standing bounty on the corrupt monsters of Drakwald Forest, which brings many mercenaries to Middenland hoping to claim a share of the wealth.
Warhammer 7th Edition - Empire Army Book

    - Most terrible of all the features of the Drakwald Deeps are the so-called hag trees. These are impossibly ancient, perhaps older than the forests themselves.
    - Beastmen warbands flock to such trees from far and wide, adorning them with grisly trophies and skeletal remains, and engaging in blasphemous, moonlit worship of foul gods.
    - Perhaps worse still, some say that human cultists, too, are drawn from the villages and towns, to cavort with the children of Chaos beneath the twisted branches, offering up their own gifts to the ruinous powers.
    - Those that witness these gatherings soon find themselves hanging next to the other trophies, so the hag trees are grim warnings to those who attempt to travel through this haunted place.
    - In the heart of the Drakwald, hidden from the eyes of outsiders, Morghur, the essence of Chaos, lives once again.
    - Morghur’s rebirth has led to the rousing of beasts to reclaim Drakwald.
    - Entire brayherds have been slaughtered by Karl Franz's provincial militias.
    - Captains of the Empire now talk openly about the possible reclamation of the Great Forest from the foul beasts within.

    Talabecland
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
    - Northeast of the Barren Hills lie the Talabec Borders, an area of deep forest.
    - Though dark and foreboding, the area is crossed by the Talabheim Road and the Old Forest Road, both of which carry travellers to Talabheim.
    - The woods to the west of the region have always been feared for the mutant lairs hidden deep within.
    - When the Green Hills were blighted by Morrsleib's spite, many twisted creatures appeared.
    - The descendants of these mutant monstrosities still dwell there, and emerge from the deep woods to wreak havoc on the countryside from time to time.
    - The forests of the Talabec Borders are also home to some numbers of Beastmen warbands, having established themselves in the woods during the last Great War Against Chaos.
    - These await the time when the next Chaos incursion will bring their kin down from the north, allowing them to rise up as a great horde and feast on man flesh.
    - Of late, the Beastmen of the Talabec Borders have grown more daring in their attacks along the Talabec Road and the Old Forest Road.
    - Fortified tollhouses have been attacked, entire merchant caravans and pilgrim columns have been ambushed, the dismembered bodies hung from the forest's eaves as a grisly omen of some coming time of woe, and several villages have been burnt to the ground and their inhabitants devoured.
    - Despite the best efforts of the road wardens and army, the Beastmen remain a problem, causing some degree of political unrest in Talabecland.
