    Manually demolish. I say demolish the landowner is basicly just the way for waiting for the aggresive modifier to cooldown. Not a suggestion for auto demolish landowner.

    What i should have said, wait two turn after you conquer a settlement before you attack again.

    Just a suggestion as great mod but in this time period there was no "King of Britain".

    I would suggest removing this crown and instead add separate crowns for England; Scotland; Ireland as follows:-

    King of Scotland
    Regions: Aberdeen; & Edinburgh

    King of England
    Regions: London, Norwich, Bristol, Lincoln, York, Caernarvon

    Lord of Ireland
    Regions: Dublin

    You could add certain conditions before they can obtain.

    Also very interestingly, during the 100 yrs war Edward III called himself "King of England & France" & Henry VIII "King of England, Ireland & France.

    Anyway above would be cool titles if you're interested in adding/changing: Style of the British sovereign - Wikipedia

    An English King calling himself King of England & of France (holding certain French territories i.e. Rennes, Normandy, Angers, Poitiers & Bordeaux) could also have serious implications in relations with the French.

    Hi Markmilan,
    thanks for you historical input! The crown system is a compromise between gameplay and historicity. I think the conditions are well-described in the second or third entry in this thread, so I'd rather stick to the current system. Maybe if you'd make a minimod implementing your ideas, it would be useful for the other players?

    It was very common for English kings to claim overlordship of the entire British Isles even though it never really happened until a Scottish king took the English throne after the end of the Tudors.

    I wonder if the information above is relevant for the current version. I recently took control over the 12 "Rum version vrovinces" and my recently declared Sultan is fit and ready for crowning, although constantinople is still 60% muslim with only a Minerated Mosque at the moment. will be trying to Crown him, will update on it.

    UPDATE: The Sultan was only crowned afte the Great Jama was complete in Constantinopole.

    Greetings. I'm playing Zenghids currently and I've conquered the crusade state and Egypt, including Gaza. But I still can't be crowned while trying to meet all the requirement.
    I've sit my leader in Jarusalem and every settlement else, can't be crowned, still "fit for crown". Help! My leader is soon to be dying.

    The crown system is utterly frastruating!

    I have the exact same problem.
    The Zengid crown doesn't seem to work currently.

    It seems to me that there is a dedicated thread for coronation issues. I know there are many reasons why this might not work properly:
    1 - Check all required provinces
    2 - Have 20,000 fl for the coronation
    3 - Go to the appropriate city
    4 - Have constructed a building specific to the faction (cathedral, jama, sanctuary, etc.)
    5 - The inhabitants must be quite happy there and the city must not be besieged
    6 - The leader must not have more than 7 auxiliaries
    7 - The leader must be the only general in the city and must have the title of governor
    8 - The leader must have at least 6 in authority and piety


    This is what I had to check when I became - finally - a crowned Sultan when I played Egypt.
    The crown appeared to me in the next round. Personally, I haven't seen a big difference in my empire after the coronation


    I'm currently playing a VH/VH game with the Cumans and I'm really struggling !
    A failure on a rebellious city, the loss of my easternmost city by the Byzantines, the attack of kyiv towards my capital, the assassination of 2 heirs by assassins from Byzantium forcing me to become a vassal of those here, the Georgians and the Rum Seldjuks are taking advantage of my weakness to attack me... I believe that my faction will not be able to hold out !

    No, Faction leader has 7 ancillaries + more than 6 piety and authority + governor of Jerusalem wich has a Jama and is happy + more than 25000 gold in reserve.

    9. Spain (13/15: Castille, 13: Portugal, 15: Aragon, has also own crown: 12) - available for all three factions in Toledo (with cathedral, this means rebuilding the castle into the city), for Aragon in Palermo with Palazzo dei Normanii.


    so what now? do i need alcazar as spain or a cathedral? it says alcazar in this thread but also cathedral in this passage. would be pretty stupid to be required to make toledo a city for this.
    can anyone explain what im missing? i have all the 13 regions, the money, the less than 7 ancillaries, the required traits + piety/authority.
    still no crown...
