When a new version will be available ?
Salve dear friends, citizens, Romans!
Today is the update day and first of all sorry for the delay! I was expecting to present you more surprises but they need more work before put them to mod but no worries. We prepared a large update and it covers not only the Romans
As part of giving authentic look for Roman units we give Romanized Thureos shields for Camillan era Roman legion infantry. And for Camillan Equites Hellenic linothorax armours. They're properly Romanized by looks and colour balance. And thanks for inspiration to Europa Barbarorum II team.

Amazing work!!
Great work, guys! All of this new stuff will be awesome to see in game.
Amazing work guys...Congrats plus Rep
Looks really good my friend, I'm going to have to download and test out asap.
Thank you guys,
By any chance would you provide me some pictures of Etruscans from in game? Just wondering the look of this unit
Enjoy and happy weekends all!
Love the update, just some nitpicking from a historians standpoint:
Why do Socii units use different Scuta than Roman units?
If these represent an older model of Scuta, why are the Romans equipped with Thureoi, which appeared well after the Pyrrhic Wars in Greece?
Especially considering their own Scuta evolved the same way every other Italiot Scutum did,
wouldn´t it be more logical to have these older Scuta instead of Thureoi?
Otherwise it´s a beautiful piece of art,
thx for all the effort you put into this.

Little Legionaire! your work is absolutely fantastic!
do you have plan to this kind of works when Ancient Empire mod release?
Thank you but it's not only my work.
Besides my work, we're a team of modders. For example Solitudo made fantastic shields for Romans and HighonTea made great helmets. And i used other fellow modders works extensively. Thats the beauty of modding. If you wish to make something good you can't do it alone.
As for Ancient Empires. All i can say is time will tell.
As far as I am aware, there is exactly one find of a possible pre-Imperial Scutum in Fayum Egypt, if it´s republican at all.
It just resembles the shape we know from the Ahenobarbus altar, but we don´t know its exact age.
So IMO it is a little speculative to say Thureoi represent early Roman Scuta when we don´t really know the exact origin and development of Scuta.
If you actually know of an example in favour of this claim I´d be delighted to know.
But I allow myself to remain sceptical of Thureos shaped shields in the Roman army until I get proof of it.
I do like Solitudo´s Italicae Gentes shields, are there any plans on continuing these models?
They look really good and IMO they´d fit this mod way more than the current Thureos

Well, you might also make the argument that the Romans adopted the Thureos shape directly from the Celts, after all, instead of getting it indirectly from the Greeks. I don't know that there's any evidence to support that, but it's plausible enough to me. But yes, totally speculative.
Agreed, considering all the other adopting of weapons and armor they did from enemies I would also say it's plausible they adopted a longer oval shaped scutum (sort of thureos looking) early on. But yes, all speculation. As for asking the EB2 team, I was just wondering since they, well, they seem to have a pretty good handle on historical accuracy and would probably be the ones to ask on the twcenter forums .
Those look awesome, I would also love to see those in the mod!I do like Solitudo´s Italicae Gentes shields, are there any plans on continuing these models?
They look really good and IMO they´d fit this mod way more than the current Thureos
Also, do you still have the model for this shield?
