395 AD, a year of upheaval. The once mighty Roman Empire, now fat and bloated from years of corrupt and gluttonous rule, is ripe for raids and revolt. The empire claws at itself from within and power hungry retainers set their plans in motion. Then, with the death of the emperor as the catalyst, the empire reached its breaking point and was fragmented into Provincial Governments ruled by centralized Hegemonies in the east and west. Elsehwere, rebellions and those on a quest to forge their own sovereignty appear in the corners of the land. In the north, the Gutes and the Teutons try to establish kingdoms . In the east, the Sabirs and the Hephthalites advance. Near the heart of the old empire is the most turbulent with open revolts such as the Achaian rebellion and the people of Judea in search of dominions. Which path will you choose? Imperium Campaign
This Campaign is about an alternate historical possibility. In this new timeline many things have changed and the stage is set for a completely new story to be told. These changes were brought about by a series of assasinations and political intrigues that ushered in this new reality. The empire is in disarray after the death of the emperor and assasination of his son, who was set to rule the Eastern Roman Empire. In this moment of crisis, revolts and civil wars took root. Both the rulers of the Western and Eastern Empires have delegated limited autonomy and power to their local provincial governments. Some however, such as the Achaians (Roman Greeks who have tried to recapture the essence of ancient Greek warrior pride), have decided to try to seize power through the use of force and political alliances.
In areas outside of the Roman domain new factions have risen. The Gutes (Norse) have invaded Northern Britain. The Teutons (Barbarian) have taken territory in a remote area to try to build their kingdom. The Sabirs (Nomad) are sweeping into the east to create a Khaganate. Judea (Eastern) is in revolt in the Holy Lands.
As far as the mod itself goes many features were implemented, the White huns can now settle and form the Hephthalite Empire. Kingdom Formation Missions and War Weariness have also been added, so watch out for your warlike nature, your people may revolt. There are many more changes added to increase functionality and maximize enjoyment of this campaign.

Playable Factions
Imperium has a total of 42 playable factions, of which 14, are new and unique, and were never seen before on the Grand Campaign. All these factions have acess to Kingdom and Empire formation events, and missions.
New Units
More than 100 new and unique units have been created for Imperium, and every new playable faction will have unique units only available for them, this will give the factions a much better flavour, and a more distinct identity and culture.
This mod is in Beta and is subject to updates. Please post bug reports or leave bug reports and suggestions in the appropriate discussion boxes on the Steam page.
We will continue to work on this mod until we feel that it is complete.
