All my saves stopped working overnight -- any ideas?

Hey all,

I was happily playing a Nervii campaign yesterday and when I tried to load it up today it crashed halfway through. The same thing happens when I load any old saves.

I have some submods but nothing has changed -- are there any fixes or ideas? It would be a shame to lose all of them.

EDIT: I actually can't start campaigns either.

As usual we require a bit more information than this.
But considering that steam is broken and therefore also part 1 of the steam version. My guess would be that you suffer from the same problem.
Please post bugs in the appropriate thread and also ask yourself whether your problem could be related to the many other posts regarding DeI not working that has been posted in the last few hours.

Are you using Steam? If so, it's possible that part 1 disappeared, in that case you need to download the 2 forum parts instead.

So all i have installed currently is the two parts of DeI from the forum and then the public beta. Campaigns still won't start and saves still won't load.

Unsure why or how this happened.

edit: problem still occurs without the public beta as well. It seems to be DeI itself, or my copy of Rome II. Which seems baffling, because nothing has changed between yesterday and today.

For some reason it keeps resetting the registered size of files to 0 and then promptly deletes them, uploading a new version with a different size appearently fixes it, but Dresden is off for a few days atm.

Same thing happened to me, fine yesterday now all my saves wont load, will try downloading from the forum instead of Steam.

Text seems to bug but this worked for me. From steam forums:

I found a workaround.
1: Go to steamapps\workshop\content\214950
2. Find and copy into steamapps\common\Total War Rome II\data
___divide_et_impera_010_part1.pack
___divide_et_impera_010_part1.png
___divide_et_impera_010_part9.pack
___divide_et_impera_010_part9.png
___divide_et_impera_010_part10.pack
___divide_et_impera_010_part10.png
3. Unsubscribe from the three parts on steam. Check steamapps\workshop\content\214950 to see that the files are gone.
4. Go to steamapps\common\Total War Rome II\data

5. Rename the files:
___divide_et_impera_010_part1.pack --> @@divide_et_impera_010_part1.pack
___divide_et_impera_010_part1.png --> @@divide_et_impera_010_part1.png
___divide_et_impera_010_part9.pack --> @@divide_et_impera_010_part2.pack
___divide_et_impera_010_part9.png --> @@divide_et_impera_010_part2.png
___divide_et_impera_010_part10.pack --> @@divide_et_impera_010_part3.pack
___divide_et_impera_010_part10.png --> @@divide_et_impera_010_part3.png
6. Launch game and check mod manager mod tab to check if you can now see the three parts - if you can it worked!
7. Play and have a nice day

I was having the same issue. It seens the Steam version went nuts and Dresden cannot fix it right now. I just downloaded the forum version and I'm back on track now.
