    Default List of Optional Additions to SSHIP V 0.9.2

    This thread should give you an overview about optional additions for SSHIP V0.9, which were created by us or other users. I'll try to keep this Post and Thread up to date. If you got a submod to SSHIP, just make sure that it's compatible with the newest version, post me the link to it (perhaps with a defining screenshot and a short description) and you will get a part here.



    -> Basileia tōn Rōmaiōn - One city challenge

    For an extra challenge and a bit of (ahistorical) fun, reduces the Byzantines to start with only Constantinople. Can you restore the mighty empire?

    SSHIP Tweaks is a compilation of various separate mini-mods or tweaks to modify SSHIP. They can be chosen separately depending on the player's taste.

    -> Garrison Mod

    Garrison Mod for SSHIP consists of two separate scripts :

    • No unguarded settlements
    • Raise garrison troops when city walls are stormed


    Both scripts are delivered in one file ( campaign_script.txt ) and coherent with each other. Experienced user can delete first or second, as he wishes.

    -> Quieter AI - minimod for SSHIP

    This is a tiny minimod that consists only of three files. They modify AI's behaviour of SSHIP.

    Do you consider adding forts at important positions, like Kerak and so on ?

    No, because the AI cannot handle permanent forts. They tend to put their armies in forts, and leave cities and castles relatively undefended.

    Currently I get a crash when using it with SSHIP, and I am sure it is because of your added units. Any chance you could release a patch for it?

    Yes it is because we have tons of different units compared to vanilla SS. And sorry, but we won't. That would be the modders job. We have our own morale/speed and stats system and I think it's pretty good right now. I also don't see a reason to increase unit sizes even more, since some of the units already won't fit onto walls which is pretty annoying.

    Fair enough. Though do not mistake my request for a complaint. SS with SSHIP is by far my favorite mod for M2. It is very well done, and is a testament to the dedication that the team has put into creating it.

    hmm may i ask something, is there any way to implement the next heir mod from SS6.4 to the sship 0.9.0 because i dont want to kill young and innocent prince just to pass the heir title to someone that more deserve the throne in the future :/

    BGR is not included in game because we'd like to develop our own system.
    To implement 4 tpy, check the Workshop. You should find the relevant tutorial.
