Warhammer III: 'You appear to be offline' bug
Warhammer III thinks that I'm offline, but I'm pretty sure I'm not.
Has anyone has else had the problem that, after starting Total War: Warhammer III normally, you get a message saying that 'you appear to be offline?'. (I'm pretty sure that I'm not offline - my computer's internet connection is working fine, Steam is in online mode and I can see Steam discussion forums, including new posts.)
I tried the following:
- Disconnecting and re-connecting my computer to the internet
- On Steam, switching to offline mode and back again to online mode
- On Steam, verifying the integrity of the game's local files (they were verified with no issues)
- Restarting my computer
- Moving the preferences.script file (this solved the previous problem of saved game corruption)
- Checking the list of known issues and solutions with Warhammer III on the SEGA support page, it wasn't there
None of these steps solved the problem, unfortunately.
I could be missing something obvious, but if so I haven't thought of it so far. My Windows 11 computer has the latest patches for its operating system and graphics driver. I haven't modded Warhammer III. I'm using the latest available update of the game at the time of posting this (version 1.3.2).
Has anyone else had the same problem? Did you find a solution?
